POOR FACILITY MANAGEMENT
I've visited Taman Equine Macdonald premise with my fiance to get dinner on 11th October 2017 approximately 9pm.
I've purchased my food and went to have a sit.
A few moments later, right before we start our dinner i decided to go to the washroom due to nature's call.
It is known that it was a small place in the heart of the restaurant itself where it was accessible to both the male and female. There was one "OKU" restroom as well.
Right when i sat myself on the toilet seat, i noticed that there was a hole directly opposite to where i was sitting, and much to my horror i also saw a camera lense through the hole. I quickly stood up and pulled up my pants and watched closely, the hole was then stuffed with tissue paper.
i was in a complete shocked state fearing for the worst, i ran out of the restroom towards my fiance and asked him to accompany me again to the restroom. I was very anxious as to the person who was occupying the next toilet space ( from where the hole is accessible) the toilet was in use before i went it the toilet.
I waited right in front of the toilet to see who was in the next toilet space for almost half and hour.
After about half and hour of wait we decided to call the staffs in the premise and we told her what had happened.
The staff, was very nice to us, she decided to check what was going on.
When she peeped through the bottom airway of the toilet partition she realised that there was no foot visible on the ground.
Quickly she knocked on the door to check who was in. There was no response to it.
After about 3 minutes, the worst fears I had, came true. A male walked out of the toilet and he kept his cool by saying “ I tersilap masuk tandas perempuan”
I’ve taken him to the authorities with the help of the Manager and Assistant Manager who was on duty at that time.
Official complaint had been lodged against him and he is in the custody of the police .
During all this chaos, I managed to speak with the manager asking did they not realise the presence of the hole on the wall of the toilet and why nothing had been done to handle it.
They simply said, we stuffed tissue in it after the semen plaster we had put on had been peeled of by “someone” recently. The hole had been there for quite some time.
I cant stop my self from thinking how insensitive of him to say such a statement.
This whole scenario wouldn’t have happened if the hole on the wall had been plastered and when that not seem to be helping, the whole wall/partitions should have been replaced immediately with no questions.
No one should have been allowed into the restroom until its fit for usage.
Secondly, there was no security in place to curb such and incident from taking place.
Why was there no proper check and balance towards the facilities of the restaurant.
I am now in fear of what he would have done , ( if at all something had been done).
Had he taken pictures of me, pictures of the other users of the toilet? What have he done with them?
This is a very traumatizing event for me and I would hold Mc Donalds responsible for this to be happening to me.
Its both humiliating and traumatizing!
Yes, we spent RM30 plus for our dinner yesterday and we had no opportunity of having dinner due to all this chaos.
An official complaint shall be lodged to the consumers tribunal of Malaysia, and all photographs and police complaint lodged will be submitted,
as I feel I do not deserve to be exposed in such a way for trusting the facilities of Macdonalds. .
