I and my wife shop at this particular store all the time since it’s near where we live. However lately virtually every time I use the slef-checkout, the machine suddenly stops me from scanning and have me call an attendant. I then watch a video of me scanning. It is degrading to say the least to be suspected of shop lifting every time I go out to shop. I talked to the manager today, who first accused me of raising her voice at her, and politely pointed out that I have a choice of shopping anywhere I want after she gave me a lame excuse of the machine being automated and that it was not anything personal. I used to live in Rockford Illinois and shopped at meijer there all the time. Over the past several years it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that my family has spent tens of thousands of dollars at Meijer. I will now take the manager’s advice and take my money elsewhere
