Stay Away From This Company -A Scam

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!
Terrible service. They claim that for 30% on any and all insurance company reimbursements they'll negotiate on your behave and get more then their 30% fee. They lie. As others have stated their employees are very unprofessional and call after call to them go unanswered. The ONLY thing they did was contact my insurance company and have their name added to any reimbursement check.
I was ripped off. But i only hope this review will save someone else from being ripped off by Metro Public Adjusters

Not standing on their word

The sales pitch was that they will work for you with the negotiation with your insurance company and that it was illegal for insurance companies to deal with contractors. But in my case they allowed the the contractor to speak with and negotiate with the insurance company. When I confronted the adjuster he was OK with it and I told that was not what was told to me at the beginning of the contract. He now feel he should get payment from that. Not a good company at all.

Stay away from this company

We had fire damage at our house and had nothing but problems with Metro. Their employees are very unprofessional and good luck getting a call back or talking to someone directly. It's been a nightmare dealing with them. It's been almost two years and we still don't have the claim settled. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I wish I had done more homework when we hired them.

Poor Service

I am an independent adjuster in good standing with all the major insurance companies. Mainly SF, Allstate, Metlife, and USAA as of late. One

thing I can assure anyone is that no company I have ever written an estimate for has ever questioned my estimates being too high. Instead,

company managers are constantly reinforcing that we get it right the first time by paying for the damages and closing claims with satisfied

insureds. Customer retention and satisfaction is paramount to any major insurance company.

I am paid to settle claims. I own my decisions / conclusions. I always air on the side of the insured. Paying a little more to see that the

insured is satisfied and can get the work done by a reputable contractor is cheaper than a pissed customer in arbitration over a few hundred

bucks. If I can't settle it, further administration will only cost more.

My advice to homeowners from many years experience:
1. Find a contractor (preferably local) that you can trust.
2. Let the insurance company do the estimate and let you're contractor negotiate (for you if you prefer)if they feel there is a discrepancy.
3. If I miss something or get something wrong that a contractor brings to my attention I can fix it and write a check in about 30 minutes.
4. PA's do not know more than anyone else. Once you hire a PA, I can't discuss the claim with you. The PA owns the claim under a policy you have

been paying dearly for, and you have surrendered some of your rights at a cost to you.
5. My #1 job is to work to keep the insured a satisfied customer. I have no responsibility or desire to help a PA firm make a living. Increased

losses = increased premiums. PA's services will not lower your insurance rates.
6. When a PA owns a claim, it's all on the PA firm from there. If you're claim gets lost with a stack of others in a basket somewhere, well, lets

just say that that would not happen if I could have settled it with the homeowner directly.
7. Here's another interesting fact you should know: I do my own estimate, and the PA does theirs. Often the PA's estimate is less than mine. I

just pay their estimate and bill my fee. Easy money. Why would you pay them for that?

As for this company, Metro Public, I would agree with the pyramid scheme analogy. The most cost effective way for them to drum up business is to

entice as many unwitting "adjusters in training" as they can to generate leads for their company at practically no cost. The "inspector" at the

bottom of this pyramid may not have a huge financial investment, but free gas, time, and effort is capitol that Metro Public Adjusters will not

directly reimburse you for. Adjuster turnover? No problem. The more turnover, the more possible free leads they get.
Whether you work for them, or hire them, it will cost you something.

As for insureds, if or when your claim is settled, and after they take their cut, it may not be enough to repair the damages. Insurance company

pays the PA, then you get your money from the PA. You do not need to hire them as an arbitrator. Insurance companies provide you arbitration to

settle disagreements as part of your premium.

PA's want to "sell" you that you are too ignorant to represent yourself. It's the niche where they can operate.
Hopefully if you are here reading this you are already wise enough to avoid the scavangers out there reaching for your wallet.

Poor Service

Wow this company clearly is full of crap. I really would not of cared one bit except I answered a craigs list add for Metro. Next I did 5 minutes of due diligence. There Better Business rating C- with a litany of claims. There system for hiring sounds as B.S. as Aflac.
Any company that tries to sell to family and friends first -pretty sure to be a Pyramid.
I wish I had never sent my resume; they are probably stealing my identity and selling it to the former soviet bloc as I write this.
Yea.
Next time background check first. Craigslist, always beware.

Poor Service

I think most of your comments are insane. Most of you who have nothing but negative things to say about Metro have obviously never been involved in any business venture in your lives where you had employees work for you or as you say work under you. Corporate American is nothing but a scam. When will you wake up? Has anyone here ever been licensed in the insurance industry? What about securities? What about any outside sales profession? Well if you did you would probably say the same things about American Family Insurance or All State, or what about Charles Schwab or Merrill Lynch or what about ADT or Auto Sales. All of these professions require you to have training sales, talk to family and friends and even bring on new sales reps once you move up into some type of management. I am sure if you looked up each one of the companies that I named you would find equally negative things said about them from some unhappy customer or former employee. All of you need to grow up, stop your *itchin and find something to become successful at and stop trying to "warn" someone else that is looking to make a difference in their lives and the lives of the people they are serving.

Poor Service

Hello to all! I currently work for an independent insurance agency and saw an ad on Craigslist. My goal is to make $$$ with a reputable compay. But the reviews win and being offered a seminar visit this week in N.J. won't happen for me. The ad says nothing of how much I would have to pay, which is always a blast when you go to one of these seminars. Thank you for making this an easy decision.
