I have Microsoft 8.1 and I keep getting pop-ups to update from to Microsoft 10. There is no easy way to exit this pop-up. The associated Windows 10 site is also down. Such a waste. Its a shame you can not contact Microsoft directly with issues like this. Customer service is non-assistance.

Microsoft spent 2 hours with me on the phone to fix my computer. They charged me $99 and the computer was not fixed. Also
someone from the Phillipines would not transfer me to U.S. I am 84 years old and could not understand someone who had an
accent and talked so fast. I have spent many hours trying to get a refund.
