Win 10 privacy

Every morning I start my computer and win 10 turn on the camera to do some locate other devices crap. Every day I turn it off and tell it to ask first. The next morning the damn camera is back on. Can I really turn it off or do I dump it and us Linux or a mac.

last update

Hi after the last update(on windows 10)there's been a few problems. When I sign in it can take up to a minute before my homepage comes up(staring at blank screen). Have tried to update driver restore which keeps on freezing(never happened before). Then there have been times I've been in the middle of something & complete shutdown(blank screen & NOT responding),won't even respond to the novo key. How many times do you have to turn a laptop on & off before it responds. I hope this isn't like the iphone problem.

Microsoft Surface Pro

When replacing my Dell computer I wanted to ensure Windows 10 and the Computer gave me no worries or trouble. So I paid for a top of the range, touch screen Microsoft Surface Pro laptop at significant cost over standard market prices.

All was going find for 18 months, until the computer failed to start up... blank... nothing. I went unto the web and found it was a problem with the Microsoft Surface Pro and found other users with the same issue. The advice on the web as 'hold the start button for five minutes and then use the volume keys'. Also 'put a rubber band on the start button for 24 hours'; none of which worked. The computer is a complete right off.

If this is a known problem it Microsoft's problem and they should fix it even after 18 months. If it was a car it would be recalled as 'know fault'. Because the unit is a sealed integrated unit it cannot be fixed (or so I am being told.). I should be given a no quibble replacement.

xbox live enforcement ban

I received a ban on my sons xbox one, not that I can find out what it was for. He has been banned from communication for 2 weeks, as it is holidays in Australia, this is making life very difficult. Added to this he is on the Autism Spectrum, and understands that there needs to be punishment, but for 2 weeks when this is his only form of communication where he feels normal, this is discrimination. There is no one to speak to about this, they will not give a complaints department, so my next stop is this website and I will also be taking it to facebook. Last time I remember you are innocent until proven guilty and you cannot even find out what this ban is about. No warning, just a 2 week communication ban. He is so concrete in his thinking, and this is the one thing he can do well without others noticing his quirkiness/disability. I am really beginning to hate Microsoft......

problematic media creation too

hi i was downloading windows 8.1 pro using media creation tool on widows c drive (on which my os is installed).I waited too long for the downloder to complete downloading.After download was 100% complete.All files completed checking then the tool showed-all files downloaded wasnt complete because there isnt enough space on the drive.WTF??if the space was less on the drive then the tool should calculate it before starting downloading windows(and wasting my bandwich too).please improve this in your tool.this tool also stops downloading when the wifi connection is changed from one wifi to another between the download process of windows.this tool shhould have pause and resume support.

Language options for Win 10 Home

American living in overseas, purchased a new machine with option for "Win 10 home" upgrade. Now I have upgraded I cannot change the GUI language to English. This, in turn, creates major issues for any necessary adjustments or maintenance. Through online investigation it has been suggested that language changes can only be made in control panel with "Win 10 Pro". Are there any options for me, other than spending an additional large sum of money on an additional operating system, that could translate windows 10?

issue in updating windows

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3105213) : The following update is not getting successful installed in my pc after some percentage completion its always start rollback of updates . please give me solution to this problem..

their is a problem in network and wifi connection , when i tired to trobleshoot the problem its not getting fix an when i tired another way hrough HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT (Diagnostics and tools : HP NETWORK CHECK) it is also not useful as it cant solve the problem..
so please do something regarding this 2 issues and help me out

Incorrectly Charged

I bought an Xbox 360 last December as a Christmas present for my 6yr old son. Then in January subscribed to the £29.99 12 month Xbox Live Gold offer. It was only recently after checking my account I noticed i'm being charged £5.99 per month a total of £71.88 for 12 months! I understand I should have checked my account earlier but the thought of being overcharged never crossed my mind. I think being charged £71.88 for a year is extortionate and I would like to request a refund or credit on my account for the difference.

I'm thinking of buying a Xbox One this year as a Christmas present and extending the Xbox Live Gold account and don't want to experience another error by Microsoft Billing.

I hope you can see my dilemma and deal with this in the appropriate manner.

Security

This is fucking bullshit. You guys fucking suck. Honestly it's ridiculous that I can't log into my Xbox live account because I have add security to it even though I already did. This is absolutely ridiculous and if someone does't reach out to me about this then I'm going over to Playstation. Even though they cost more it's not worth the amount of time and energy that I'm wasting towards trying to fix this problems. I can't even count how many times I have reset my password and enabled a two-step verification in order to get it to work.

Early adopters vs. Mac Air users

I find it offensive that Mac Air users get to effectively purchase a Surface Pro 3 for several hundreds of dollars less than the Surface's early adopters.

Many of us bought the device, DESPITE THE BAD PRESS, and effectively sold it to our friends/co-workers/families and employers through our daily use of it. I can say at least 3 people.I know personally bought one in response to exploring mine.

In any event, I think Microsoft needs to say "Thank You" to it's Surface and Surface Pro early adopters and offer AT LEAST the same trade-in policy that they're offering to Macbook Air users.
