My young daughter went to the Midas service shop in West Hartford Connecticut
for her first oil change on her 2014 Ford Fiesta. She had a $24.99 coupon. She was taken advantage
of by signing the agreement to pay $5 extra for the required 5w20 oil which
the manager said was required and standard extra charge. Calls to the Midas shop, Midas web site
complaints, calls to to Midas customer service, calls back from the manager with
just an apology is not my idea of customer satisfaction. I asked him to
call other shops about them charging $5 extra for the 5w20 oil and he
discovered that they DO NOT. I told him he is overcharging and his shop
Is ripping customers off. He refused to refund $5 since my daughter
Signed the authorization. I also called other shops in different lications
And discovered they do not charge extra. Plus their oil change prices
Are less than the West Hartford Midas at 918 New Britain road. Bad customer
Service and refusal to refund $5 I told the manager after several conversations
That I am not happy and will go viral with my complaint of him ripping
People off. He did not seem to care.
