I wrote a complaint to IDA and they redirected me to MDA.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. As you are aware, should pay-TV operators make changes to the packages offered, subscribers whose contracts include current packages which will be phased out must be free to terminate their subscription without further hassle. Let us know if this has not been accorded to you. We have also urged pay-TV operators to be mindful of their customers’ price and content preferences when making changes, given the many media choices available today

Hi, same here. Singtel tv program is horrible. I usually watch only phoenix and cctv 4
Now they removed the channel and said they have a right to change.
what is IDA doing. This is a very unfair contract.
If they cannot extend their contract with phoenix, then we have the right to cancel ours too.

SingTel has cancelled 2 Phoenix news channels, which are the channels that I watch the most. My contract started in Apr 2016 and will end in Apr 2018. SingTel told me that I could not cancel my subscription (if I did, I would need to pay a fine equals to the subscription fee multiply by months remaining in my contract). This means that I will need to pay for another 18 months for channels that I don't want to watch! This is a very unfair contract! Why the service provider has the right to change/cancel channels while we consumers don't have the right to cancel my subscription???!!! I am very angry about SingTel's service!

I have suffering for the poor TV programs that Singtel offers. Besides the phoenix channel and news, the rest are rather boring channel. Last couple of days, I was shocked that Singtel removed the 2 phoenix channel without any advance notice or explanation at all.

After submitted the complain, the caller explained that Singtel ONLY removed 2 channels and they are other channels that available for me to view. I got bogged down by the way the caller responded to my complain.

I will not hesitate to take further action to get Singtel to provide a fair and reasonable solution!
