I received this as a gift for my daughter's 1st birthday. Like the other giftcards and cash, i kept it so she may use it when she's of age of knowing what she would like to use it for. Card validity is 10/24. When i checked the balance, it is zero. ZERO! They said because i haven't used it (i never even activated it) so they deducted $2 a month. $50 - $100 wiped out, just like that! It's like, you're not using it? Let me steal it!

This is how they earn money, by stealing the balance from your card. Never buy this giftcard. Customer service is horrible, too. THIS SHOULDN'T BE SOLD IN STORES!

I have been trying to make contact regarding my three gift cards and they deleted the balance on fees I never got to use them I want my money back how do I get a hold of them I need a mailing address or a better number I was on hold three times for over an hour each time and no one ever answered still trying to get someone to answer

I frequently purchase prepaid cards and this is the first company I have ever dealt with that are THIEVES AND LIARS!!! I have a balance of $140 and I can not use my card! It keeps getting rejected. Every time I call customer service (whenever the call actually goes through) every representative sounds uneducated and like junior high school drop outs. I keep being told that my card is frozen and will be for a few days! For what?! This is my money!? I am still unable to spend my own money. You can tell that the representatives are in on the scam because every one of them that I reach are short sentenced and rude. Their website doesn't work half of the time, the customer service number doesn't work half the time and now they aren't releasing me my own money!??? There are far too many other prepaid companies out there people. Please learn from my example and NEVER give this scam company your money!!!

I bought this card yesterday and tried to use it and the card has been denied. The card is unable to use. I tried to contact a human for over 5hours. The website is useless. I have my original receipt and this is unexceptionable. After Christmas I will report this company to the better business bureau. They have failed us the consumers and continues to screw us. I have read some of yawl chief complaints and every one is saying the same thing. I usually read reviews and I wish I read this one. I would have never bought the card.

Never give this card as a gift. I got the card on Dicembeer 2016, try to used it on a restaurant and was declined. I call and they told me that there has been a fraudulent transaction. I filed the proper notice with the fraud department, I never heard from them or received anything on the mail. Today I was following up with them and u was told that case was closed because they requested more info and I never answer. However I never got this request on the mail. Therefore, I lost the 100 dollar gift and there is nothing they can do because the case is close

Oh...I have finally got around to writing about this. I have been boiling about it for a long time. I purchased one of their $100 gift cards as I don't have a credit card and figured I would be able to buy things online every once in awhile. I used their card once and had $55 left on it. I tried to use again, for another online purchase, and it was rejected. I contact the company(www.giftcardsite.com) and they proceed to tell me that my account has been frozen and that they need veriification of my identity. Oh, and they said that I needed to FAX the information..who the #### uses a fax machine these days. How about sending files via e-mail, you know, like everyone else in the planet does with documents these days...but, no, it must be a fax...and they must have a copy of my driver license and card. So, fed up, I finally faxed the information to these bastards. I received no verification from them. After a couple weeks, I decided to call their useless call center, staffed by low IQ uneducated morons, and again got the run around. They said that they never received the fax(even though it was verified from my end that they had). They said that I should do it again. I was so pissed..so, I faxed it yet again. Again, no response from them. I contacted them and they continually told me that I need to make sure the fax number was right...yeah, no shit...I've only verified it multiple times with you morons. This was back in 2015...here it is in 2017 and I've given up. I'm sure they've charged me that $2.00 per month inactivity bullshit and that has eaten up damn near all the money. So, they stole $55 from me. I hope they burn in fire. I will never...NEVER purchase another gift card(from any company)...they are complete scams. I will also tell as many people as I can about my story and attempt to dissuade them from making the same mistake I did. NEVER ever buy a gift card..period. Purchased a $25 Mastercard Gift Card on Dec 24, 2016 and gave it as a gift. The recipient called me yesterday and said they tried to use it but was told there was nothing on it. She contacted Mygiftcard.com to see what she could find out and was told they had no record of the card. I have the original reciept and activation slip. It's not past it's active date, and it was fresh out of the package. I cannot reach a human being on their number. After reading the other complaints posted here, this company is making one HELL of a lot of money stealing from the consumer the cost of the card plus the activation fee! Time to contact a higher authority I think.

I am unable to reach a person at my gift card at either the online site or the telephone number listed on the back of the card. I want to check the number of cards on my account and remove empty cards from the list and am unable to do so., would love to talk to a person but that option is not listed on either your web site or your phone number. I enjoy using the cards for gifts and on line purchases, but if I can not remove spent cards they are not of any use to me.

These cards are a scam. Get one every year from my work for perfect attendance and now they take money off penalizing me for not using it. What a big piece of shit!

I have 2 cards that are Mastercard gift cards. There is an expiration date on the front for 4 and 5 years out from now. Each card is pre-printed on the front for a value of $25. The cards are non-reloadable. The cards have already been purged from their system. I was told that the expiration date on the front is valid if you are using the card. But it's only good for $25 and 5 years...so am I supposed to use it $.50 at a time to keep it valid? I can't put more money on it....so basically the expiration dates are fraud. Just makes you not read the fine print of taking $2.00 off per month. But she said they didn't take it off, it was just purged from the system for not using it.

Purchased a $25 gift card for my daughter......after two months, I called in to check the balance and they have no record of the card at all.

Customer service told me there is nothing they can do, I'm out of luck. I asked for a supervisor and after 10 minutes of waiting, I was told the supervisor was at lunch and I should call back some other time.

I asked for a name or address so I could send them a formal complaint letter, but they would not give me any information.

They are thieves.

My son spent his hard earned money buying his little sister a gift card of $30.00 for Christmas and sent it to Florida from Pennsylvania. and he paid 2 extra dollars for the card and mailing costs!!! .....and she cannot use it because they said they decided a slew of the cards were fraudulent! ????? So NOW our son is out $30.00 that he worked very hard for and his younger sister cannot get a gift that he wanted her to buy! What a rip off company that they take people's money and then pretend there was a fraudulent something or other and made a bunch of cards inactive!!!

Had the same issue as the person listed below however I was able to produce a copy of the original receipt. Sharkiesha, Watermelondria and the other ghetto ass individuals I spoke to that work for this company are clueless. I've spoken to supervisors who eventually referred me to their dispute depart. Upon calling I was immediately prompted to leave a message and was informed that my call would be returned within 48 hours. I'm convinced that I could probably give birth twice and still not hear from this organization. The only option now is to research ways to get "the man" involved in the recovery process. Solutions or information on possible solutions are welcomed.

Just opened my gift card from December holiday party. Just had in my purse, unopened, still in original package. Decided to activate it and give to my daughter to use, but surprise, surprise. Only had .50 on it! (NOT $50.00!) Someone had apparently used the card to pay their gas bill. I was told they could dispute the charge and if (IF) the gas company returns the funds, they could put it on another card for me - - as long as I had the receipt for the original purchase. (hello? "Gift card". "G-I-F-T", meaning someone gave it to me as a present).

End of the story: basically too bad. DON'T BUY, AND IF YOU GET ONE, USE IT RIGHT AWAY!!!!!!

SCAMMERS, LIARS, THIEVES. . .I've been trying to work to recover my lost prepaid MasterCard which was given to me as a gift. I've asked for a manager to CALL ME and they are IGNORING me. I've tried reaching them for over a week, they have all my info including a copy of my driver's license and all I have asked for them to do is have a MANAGER CALL ME but they are playing games with me. They said they "tried contacting me and I do not have voicemail set up" WHICH IS A LIE AND IS BS. Their customer service is terrible. I have $100 on a prepaid Mastercard that is lost and they will not work with me to issue a new card. FINALLY, NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY A PREPAID MASTERCARD. . .when you go to mygiftcardsite.com. . .it's all a scam!!!

Received a Mastercard gift card for $50 and before I could use it the issuer had deducted all the money. Do they never stop finding ways to rip you off? An "inactivity" fee, really now? While they may be quite creative in coming up with more ways to rip you off, it doesn't do much for their brand. Try Visa and Wells Fargo if you want to buy gift cards and tell any and everyone how bad Mastercard is/ Maybe if they lose business to competitors, they'll behave more ethically.

So got a $25 gift card last year for Christmas and was saving it to use on a large purchase since I had 3 others. Went to go use it and found that the other two from another company were just fine but this one had nothing on it. I had just opened it and couldn't figure out why till I logged in. For inactivity they charge $2 a month. The only thing is it's supposed to start after 12 months of no use not month 1. On the back in the middle of the fine print it does say there is an inactivity charge but only after 12 months of inactivity. So basically the company has made someone buy them $25. U.S. Bank is the bank it's attached to and this seems to be rather cheap since it's a gift card and shouldn't really drain like that. So if you buy any gift cards check to make sure it won't drain and if it does tell the person you give it too so they know to use it right away. Best to avoid any from U.S. Bank and it was a debit mastercard. Avoid these at all costs.

I cannot use this card online. No matter which website I use, I get an error. I have been using these cards for over a year, this is a new problem. Been happening for 2 months. Unable to use funds on any of my cards, complete scam

I received the $ 200.00 card as a Christmas gift.
Used some of the money ad then somebody in East LA ( I am in NJ) used my card to buy $34.88 worth of pizza at Pizza Hut.
When contacted mygiftcardsite customer service I was advised to contact Pizza Hut to get my money back.
I did but learned that it is not Pizza Hut responsibility to refund my money.
Mygiftcardsite debit cards are a scam. My money was never returned.

If you want to loose money for sure then buy mygiftcardsite debit cards.

But I will stay away as far as I can from this business.

Purchased $150 Gift Card on 9/13/11 to save money on gas through Kroger. Went to Shell station in front of Kroger and swiped at the pump. It asked for a zip code. The card says "REGISTER your card at www.mygiftcardsite.com before you make an online purchase." It doesn't say ANYTHING about before purchasing gas on the card or the package. Transaction was DECLINED! Tried a 2nd time and it was declined also. Looked online and found the card showed $2 available. It had placed a HOLD on $148 ($74 each swipe) even though it was declined. Called customer support to find that the "funds will release on the 23rd if not sooner." Been checking daily (and have since registered the card) and the funds are still not available as on 9am on 9/23/11. Called again to be informed that they are scheduled to be released at midnight tonight. When advised that they had stolen my money for the last 10 days, they blamed it on Shell. Shell said the funds were released when the card was declined for incorrect zip code. MYGIFTCARDSITE IS A FRAUD. DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR GIFT CARDS FROM KROGER OR ANYWHERE ELSE!

I bought 3 packs of three to be given away as a thank you gift to customers. What a rip off first this is as far as I know the only prepaid card that makes the buyer jump through all these hoops just to use the card. Its deceptive to not mention on the packaging the need to go to a site to activate the card that was activated at the market check out like every other pre-paid card . Lastly I am unable to activate the cards on their web site after all this BS for some reason. So they have $150 Dollars of mine and I have their useless cards
