I had 0 help from anyone with going to college. I had 4.0 GPAs an the colleges are even in trouble. I should be eligible for tons of money in damages, mental anguish, and more. They have destroyed my credit which was at a 800. I will never deal with this company again. No one has been very much help. I have been going to college with 4.0 GPAs and have been viciously attacked.

I have 16 payments not credited to my balance. Bill Pay and my bank verified payments with them. And also the payments showing is not all credited to my total balance due. They evade communicatiing in writing and want to talk where they straight lie! I am in the process of seeking how to sue as I cant find an address to serve and I want to start an awareness to initiate ANOTHER class - action lawsuit. Appeareantly they are joint own by Google and DOE as well. Talk about ethic violations. This is what we have for a government. Im fed up with these crooks. This company gave me loan yeats ago to school that shut down it was bogus from beginning. I became disabledyears ago and got loan forgiveness they are harrassing me relentlessly and sending letters stating I work ( I do not) and they are reinstating loan. Even when I change number they call and continue to sendbvb threatening letters...please. I need a lawyer I want to sue them

Went with Nelnet bc they said they would consolidate my student loans but instead of doing that, they listed them all separate, allowing each one accrue interest. Imagine all those loans being separate on your credit report! Loan sharks big time! So disgusted!

My credit is rock bottom because instead of consolidating my federal loans like they said they were doing they listed them separate so they could charge interest rates on them all. I am furious!

I too am the victim of accrued interest after final payment made. I was told exactly the same thing by a customer service representative that the bank did not process my payment before 3:00pm so therefore I accrued interest of 64cents. I called them to have that written off and taken care of and they told me that they cannot do that. I said I scheduled the payment exactly on time and on the due date, on their website, and they didn't process it before 3:00. That sounds like it's their problem and apparently a way for them to make a little "extra money" on the account that is paid in full. The customer service rep said they could not do anything for me until it has been 30 days. Wow. So I get to accrue more interest and continue to accrue more interest until this is resolved. This is SOOO not right in any way. This is very much fraud and sounds exactly like the Wells Fargo lawsuit that was filed several years ago about processing payments first and then making deposits so that a person gets charged overdrafts. Sound the same? So maybe we need to talk to the attorneys that filed that lawsuit to help some of us poor saps that are getting screwed monthly. I am 100% sure that when I call back in another 30 days they are going to tell me they can't help me. Might as well contact Ombudsman at the Department of Education now.

I'm trying to find information on the class action suit for now net last year I said to my paperwork 5 times a year before that 2 times and they kept losing it and trying to charge a man much as they possibly can I lost my job and there said I still owe 499.00 a month!

I set up online payments and they never go through so I call them and they say call my bank. I call the bank and they say they never recieved a request for a transaction and that my balance is 40k. So I set up checks to be mailed to their billing address. They return the checks and cant find my account. I call and try to pay over the phone and they apply the funds to the wrong account. No matter what I do they wont take the money and keep harassing me for not paying Im going out of my mind for over a year. My credit is destroyed and Im doing everything I can to pay.

I paid $30K of my husband's $38K student loan. Funds were applied to interest and then the loan was turned over to collections because we were $1200 behind. The collection agency is demanding $46,720. Our payment history was weekly for YEARS, and includes 4 payments after they sent our account to collections. The payments were made online thru my bank and were cashed at Relent, but they refuse to even return the money.

I have the same problem as everyone else with the ridiculous they calculate interest. I consolidated a PLUS loan for my son's schooling in 2007 for ~$19K. Ten years and 120 on-time payments later and I still owe them just under $13K. I have tried to get a class action lawyer to take this and no one replies back. I made, what I thought, was the final payment on a student loan. Because the payment was paid after banking hours, it didn't get made until the next business day, Monday. I accrued interest over the weekend. When I called the agent on Monday to pay the interest, I was told it was made before the end of banking hours, however, the agent didn't make the payment until after banking hours. Guess what? More accrued interest. How is anyone ever to pay off their loans when you take 3-4 business days to process a payment (electronically) and accrue interest? How do you charge interest on interest? How do you take accrued interest and convert it to principle? This sounds shady and unethical. Today I called and was told not to worry, it would be taken care of. Really? Do I trust this will happen? I'm looking into legal action so Nelnet can once again be investigated. They already have settled one class action suit. I'm also looking to refinance with a different company just so I can get away from these con artist.

Recently I applied for apartment for living situation, they check my credit report there 7 different false reports on my credit report. NEL-NET have damaged my credit status that making untrustworthy, I filed for disability in 2005, I submitted all the nessary paper work for them. they have sent me information that my disability was granted. These people are heartless!!! NelNet has harassed me continuaously for the last 6 months!!! I took a leave of absense from my schooling because I was carrying my first child and she was diagnosed with a fatal chromosomal condition called Trisomy 18. I took a leave so that I could prepare for her birth and death at the same time. The school seemed to be fine with me taking this leave and understood that I was not sure that in the end I would be able to return mentally at all. I lost my daughter in my arms at 2 1/2 months old and since her diagnoses during pregnancy my mind has gone stir crazy. NelNet all of a sudden wants to "help" me as they claim yet they are all rude and rotten and non-understanding that I am uncapable of even working now to even make a payment of 50 cents to them. I told them my issues and about my loss and yet they dont give a damn. The local legion set up a website for my baby girl in her memory to raise awareness for Trisomy 18 because of the discrimination our babies face by medical professionals and this Laura.Ross has had the nerve to call meat least 20+ times a day and then went as far as harassing me through my "DEAD DAUGHTERS WEBSITE". then she sent texts and then called my daughters fathers line, my brother, my mother, and even went through facebook and contacted a person that I dont even really speak to anymore. First of all she is interuppting the privacy act through giving out my personal information to people that I do NOT associate with and then to harass through my dead daughters website?????????? Going way too far in my opinion and quite honestly it is stalking and harassment in my opinion and honestly quite disturbing that someone would use a dead childs memorial website to harass someone; especially their mother. I am far from being capable of returning to school and I am far from being capable of working right now and I cannot take the stress from these people any more than I already have!!! I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder as well as post traumatic stress disorder and these people are making it worse for me!!! Not to mention that on top of the grief I am experiencing over my daughter I just had a miscarriage two weeks ago and that has added more stress and grief to me. These people do not stop and are sick and twisted individuals!!! And this is all over $1600.00 mind you!!! There has to be a law that prohibits them from this type of harassment and recourse has got to be available??????
