NJ Child Support Department failing to disperse child support payments to payee consistently
I am a single mother of 3 and the Gloucester County child support system is not distributing my child support payments every two weeks via direct deposit which I have in place for these transactions. The system however Does take the owed child support payment directly from my ex husband's check right on time, every two weeks. I am supposed to receive the payment every two weeks via direct deposit like I mentioned but instead what happens is I will randomly receive Some of the owed child support payment even though they withdrew ALL of the owed child support payment from my ex's paycheck. I then may receive the rest a week later OR not at all! I don't receive the payments consistently every two weeks and I ask you, how am I supposed to budget when I never know when or How much the system will decide to pay out. Where is this money going to?? Who is benefitting from this scam- and yes, it is a SCAM or fraud IMO because my ex husband pay's in full and yet I don't receive it as scheduled. I don't have debt or past due taxes. What I further don't understand is why the state of NJ posts that they pay in full my child support via direct deposit every two weeks yet my bank can testify otherwise. There is NO LIVE PERSON to speak directly to about this mismanagement of funds. Only an automated system. Do I retain legal counsel and file a suit against the state? What can be done about this?
