I refer to the above noted application number which belongs to me. My change of name application was submitted on 16/12/2015, and to date it remains in progress. Although I would like to note that I had actually submitted it well before 16/12/15 at Service NSW Castle Hill over the counter. It is beyond me why it took until the 16th to reach BDM NSW. I received a phone call on 2/1/16 from the registry advising that my application had been forwarded to the registrar for consideration. It is now two weeks since this occurred and my Application STILL remains "in progress." Can someone PLEASE advise when I can expect finalisation of this matter, noting that this is an urgent issue as the evidence submitted with my Application (and also afterwards) clearly indicates? I am suffering extreme psychological distress due to this matter, as correspondence submitted to the registry from my Support Co-ordinater at Victims Service NSW confirms , as well as the medical evidence I have put forth. Not to mention my personal safety. I am not sure what more is required. I don't have a license as it has expired and I do not have the time to obtain a new license every couple of weeks. Additionally, I need to travel overseas and am unable to do so as I require a new passport as well. The reason I need to change my name is due to my soon to be ex husband stalking and harassing me. He has already been charged with assaulting me. I need my name change certificate URGENTLY so I can file for divorce before this man finds me and ultimately kills me which he is more than capable of. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have some compassion for my situation and PLEASE escalate this immediately, I have already waited FAR TOO LONG.

My daughter who is an applicant for the name change, rang the NSW Birth, Death &Marrige Registry located 35 Regent Street Chippandale NSW 2008, Guess what the operator said after identifying my daughter, Sorry i can not discus the application with you due to the privacy reasons since she is the applicant and privacy does not apply there. what a joke, shame,shame,shame and shame. Applicant barred to discuss her own application. My daughter is very depressed, her circumstances are exceptionak, all evidence provided to the BDm but they do not care and has failed in their duty of care to her. I am encouraging all those who ever had a problem with the office of NSW BDM to please come forward and share their experience w on Social media. I am also asking the NSW Attorney General to order an inquiry in to the conduct of the Registrar and the way her application was handled. Poor lady is already a victim, all the evidence provided and ignored by the Registry. Finally I like to thank Ms Nicole Auzory who was brave and kind enough to understand my daughter situation came forward and offered help. My Big Thanks to Wonderful Nicole who can do an exceptional job as a Registrar. Well done and thanks Nicole

I am veryu concerned about the conduct of the Registrar which definitely warranted an investigation and an action
