Fraud, deception
The half day course or introduction was an overview of the market conditions and just enough to want to wet your whistle for a bit more? The instructor made the big push for the three day course for the $299, I was impressed enough to take that course. Most took advantage of the three day course for the $299. Once enrolled into the OTA system you were assigned a coach or advisor, my advisor at the OTA WEST PALM BEACH was Frank, nice guy but was like a drill sergeant for the Marine Corp, he was definitely well trained and pushed hard for a close into the academy, he told me the reason they take all of your financials and thorough background was that the academy had to make sure you are a good fit into their system. A bit odd, my opinion, now they know who has cash or not? Imagine that. They had you fill out a complete financial disclosure and made it sound like they were interviewing you as well as you them. I thought this was a bit strange right off the bat. During the three day course , several times you were taken away to meet with your advisor? At times this felt like the used car salesmen approach. The tactics were deceiving and upon the third day of the class, the real pressure started. The class was a well designed marketing program to get you to sign up for the academy.
Lots of programs were thrown at you and they already knew your financial situation so they knew if you were
Strong or not in the balance sheet, like they turn people away! This is where the unjust tactics regarding the seniors came into play, I’m a senior and was excited about the possibilities of the academy.
I was told a well designed fabricated story about the success ratios, I was also told that the success rate is almost guaranteed. By the way the least program they offer was about 25k, and the financing part was at a rate of About 18%, funny thing when signing with original signatures on the OTA agreement, once the financing agreement came into play it was signed electronically, not fully disclosing the outrageous interest factor! Of course there is much more to my story, mostly not good!
The academy and help was extremely over promised and under delivered. The course I took, the first was Core Strategy, the instructor Sal was very good, probably the only positive I have to say about the entire process, he was thorough and took his time to explain everything, me being very green at all of this, I understood. The next course was the one where I was really looking forward to learning about Forex. The instructor everyone was soon keen on was JODY. It was quite obvious from the get go he was on top of his game. My opinion was he was a genius in his methods and his strategy, but what a joke as a teacher! He went at a pace of about a hundred miles an hour, and quite an arrogant little guy . At one point several of us just left the room, lost like a deer in the headlights. He came out and I asked him if I should go back and retake the core strategy class for I was struggling to keep up with him. His self-centered answer, no way, that course is useless. Just learn my ways and follow the F...ing rules. He was definitely not a team player with the philosophy of OTA. He obviously is very successful in his own ways and has created quite a following, my sense he could give a shit about OTA and their so called patients in their methods. He has his own following on a group called discord, only way to get into this group is being invited when you participate in his course. I found this quite interesting as what if this arrogant little man decides to leave? Well, there goes JODY’s ways right out the door. I respect him for his knowledge, but he is an awful teacher and team player with the OTA philosophy. My opinion! After that I went to Ron, the so called manager or something and told him and Frank my story in detail. On that day we , Frank, Ron and myself, we had a very good meeting and they reassured me that we will allow me to get into the Futures class and they, Frank would send me a well designed plan for me to follow to get ready for the up and coming Futures class. That was on a Monday, 7/9,they calmed me down and assured me to switch into the Futures course and Frank said he would put together a detailed plan of attack that I could go online and follow. What a big joke these two pawns were. More than a week passed and I heard nothing from Frank, Ron or OTA. Meanwhile the finance company had no problem getting their $998 Payment each month. I have much more to say about the way OTA lures you in and closed the deal and basically leaves you hanging. At this point I would just like to get my money back and move on as if none of this ever happened?
We shall see how this goes, but my story will be told to everyone I can reach out to.
Do yourself a favor, thoroughly check this OTA West Palm Beach before getting started?
If I would have done my due diligence I’d would have never enrolled in this academy here in WEST PALM BEACH. My story goes downhill from here and I’m positioning myself at this point to try to get my money back, good luck with that idea, their OTA contract says you can’t sue them, only arbitration. And we know that’s a joke.
But, I will tell my story to every Consumer agency and social media to prevent this from happening to other seniors/anyone!
It’s definitely a big scam and definitely not worth the money they are trying to get for these courses, I know they are a big franchise, my story and situation only is directed at the OTA WEST PALM BEACH LOCATION!
Bottom line, definitely not worth the money and the quality of instruction and professionalism.
