Hello, I recently visited a private club in Mount Airy, NC named OTIS'S which used to be B52s on N.Andy Griffith Parkway. They have a DJ as well as Karakoe & Freestyle singing. I paid $5 to be a member as well as $5 cover everytime I visit there. I was informed the owner hasn't paid his ASCAP fees & doesn't think he has to. This isn't fair since all other night clubs & Bars have had to pay the fee. Could this be looked into please. He also has bands scheduled to perform. I've also been informed that employees from other bars in town don't have to pay the membership fee or cover charge as well as getting their drinks for free. Isn't that against the law also? I really thought private clubs couldn't let just anyone in without a membership. As well as not paying their fees to play music.
