My friend and I both bought our daughters puppies. She bought a male yorkie Poo and I bought a male shorkie. The first vet visit for our puppy we were told he had worms (the vet said that was "normal" with puppies but most breeders treat puppies before they are bought because it was so common). The vet gave us an antibiotic for our puppy and I started it immediately. Two days later our puppy was throwing up blood and there was blood in his stools. He also had a cough which I assumed was kennel cough. I took him back to the vet and was told he had an infection from the worms, and that it was kennel cough but a collapsing trachea. Our puppy is now 5 months old and guess what, he is NOT a shorkie. I don't even know what kind of dog he is. We love him however he isn't what I paid $650.00 for.
My friends first puppy visit didn't go so well either, she was concerned because his "balls" hadn't dropped yet. The vet told her the reason his balls hadn't dropped was because HE was a SHE!!!! She got a female dog instead of a male. When she confronted Jason, he blamed it on his mother who has" brain cancer and he guesses the 18 medications she is on is messing with her mind." He then proceeded to tell my friend he was going to make his sick mother drive 8 hours to pick up the female dog and give her the correct dog. They had already fallen in love with their puppy. He told her that she should be happy because females are $200 more. She had to go out and buy all new stuff as she already purchased boy/blue stuff for "Tucker". He wound up giving her back $100.00.
I HIGHLY advice anyone looking for a real "breeder" to avoid this place like the plague. Do research before going anywhere and listen to the reviews. Attached is a picture of my "shorkie"
