Food Poisoning...
The first part of this missive is my professional opinion that encompasses many restaurants but the latter paragraph is solid fact.
I am going to use this opportunity to talk about food integrity at large in 2016 and in most restaurants across this nation, the cleanliness factor, cooking properly, leaving older food sitting out, not cleaning utensils and the list goes on, seems to be rampant in many eateries and food establishments nationwide. I blame a lot of this on the fact that restaurants, do not pay their help well, so the help being inexperienced end up causing serious health infractions while the company reaps huge profits. Often the employees cannot financially make ends meet, so they get even, often the food is compromised, and people are getting sick.
Some facts about restaurant food: People can get sick when the food they eat has harmful organisms. Harmful organisms cause food borne illness or food poisoning. Harmful organisms grow easily in foods like meat (fish, poultry, pork, beef, deli meats, etc...) milk, cheeses, eggs, cooked beans and rice, baked potatoes, alfalfa sprouts, cut melons and cut tomatoes. These are called potentially hazardous foods. These are all foods that are moist or damp, and they have protein that the harmful organisms need to grow. It is also a known fact that disgruntled employees can and will sabotage food.
I made a promise to myself that after the next time I get sick I would stop eating out all together. Two days ago I ordered a bowl of vegetable soup at Paneras in Akron and have been sick, with nausea, gastritis and chronic diarrhea for two days. I see on the board this is common place with the famous Panera's? You can't hire kids/millennials who have no experience, who don't wash their hands to run your stores? How hard is it to offer a nutritious bowl of Mamma's Jewish chicken soup for God sake?
When soup or food sits out you can see as stated above, it becomes a potential health hazard.
I will never eat at Panera's again, sorry but this is not the first time I got sick on their food. It has happened on at least 4-5 occasion. Sorry guys but I grade your restaurant between a 1-1-, 10 being the best. I have to give you a 4!
