I ate a small bowl of Mac and cheese and a signature sandwich at Panera at about 9 pm. I then woke up at 4 with the worst stomach pain/cramps and aches that I have ever experienced before. I was in the bathroom from 4 am-6 am and it is now 6 hours since the pain started and my stomach still doesn’t feel right. I have no clue what they put in my food, but I do know that I will NEVER be eating at Panera ever again, and I advise everyone else to do the same if you don’t want to get food poisoning.

I went to the Panara Cares (I write that in dismay because they really couldn't care less) in Boston, MA. I was laid off from my job so money is really tight, so I try to save wherever possible. Someone told me about Panara Cares and that the way they promote the store is that you pay what you can afford, so some will pay posted cost for products, some if generous pay even more if they want, and those who are less fortunate can get a meal for free their first visit, and then for a donation thereafter, I guess you can even volunteer to earn a meal as well. While there are no signs stating anything to the contrary of say making a $1.-, $2.- or $3.- donation, after I ordered the staff at the register insisted that I pay a minimum of 50% of the value of what was ordered. Doesn't that just go against what allegedly the "Cares" is all about? They promote that they are helping people who would otherwise go hungry, and then extort more money that the less fortunate may be able to pay, yet the rest of the public that pays full price and more are misguided into believing that Panara Cares actually does help the less fortunate, and I don't mean by offered half off a meal, everyone I spoke with since is under the impression Panara Cares accepts any donation the indigent individual can afford, and no more that just that!

I have been to several Panera's in diffrent staes. They are all horrible

overpriced maggot infested food!
