My company signed a lease agreement and six months before it ended, PB sent a postcard that was worded to offer us a saving to lock in, otherwise expenses would go up. But what it did was extended the contract out another six months. It was sent to my director who signed it without my knowledge. Sneaking!! We eventually renewed but at a higher lease rate than our previous one. After this lesson We are going with Neopost, another postage service similar to PB. However the PB contract say you must notify them 150 days (5 months) in advance to end the lease or it will automatically renew!! We did, but they said our contract was signed outside of the quarterly billing cycle so it won't end until another four months. The Pitney Bowes contract is basically written to favor their position. Hopefully when we return the machine they won't charge us for any minor damages or blemish.
