Misapplied Payments and could not cancel

Pitney Bowes will take your money and make you go to the end of the earth to prove they took the payment I have been fighting for close to a year now. This is not the first time this has happened with this company. They have this system so messed up I have had to get the bank manager on the phone after holding for 3 hours and transferred to three different departments to finally have a payment applied to an invoice I paid a year ago. I sent proof of payment the bank sent proof of payment all the while I am being charged a million late fee's and having my current payments applied to the wrong invoice's.NIGHTMARE I called and called and emailed and emailed with over 30 case's on my account of misapplied payments and I am totally fed up. I canceled wrote into the department that has no phone line "come on pitney bowes" and sent back their equipment I am not paying to get out of the lease they will take my money and say they never received it anyway.

Impossible to Work With

I've dealt with Pitney Bowes on a previous occasion about 10 years ago. And had the same sort of experience! You'd think that with competition from other companies, they'd bend over backwards to keep good customer relations. I started getting letters from them saying "Our records show that it's time to renew your lease on the postage equipment..." So I went with a different company and wrote them several times stating that I didn't wish to renew and asked for instructions on how to return the machine. Turns out they start sending out those notices 1 year before the lease ends. Their offer to lock in rates was TWICE what a competitive company wanted, so no deal there. Having to wait for an hour (actually timed more than once) to talk to a representative is NOT adequate customer service in my opinion! Stay away from these people!

Pitney Bowes

This is the most difficult Company I have ever had to deal with. The organization of billing/postage/equipment is horrible and spread out over several different sub-companies. They keep you holding forever only to tell you they have to send you to another department then when you are transferred you are asked to repeat all of your information over again. I've been trying to cancel my contract for months. They keep you running in circles until you finally give up. I have over $1500 of postage on a machine that does not work and have no idea when I will actually be able to get a refund or return their machine after yet another afternoon of being on the phone with them. The sarcastic/rude customer service is an added bonus.

cancel again services

Called several times to cancel service. This company allowed someone not authorized we found out when cancelling service
to extend a lease contract. We would appreciate someone to get this machine that we do not use. Thank you!!!

Pitney Bowes

I have been trying to cancel Pitney Bowes since Dec 2015. Almost two years of emails and letters! Today I decided to sit down and do what it takes to finally get them to stop sending me invoices.. You oddly think just a phone call away. the first call I was on the phone for 27 minutes waiting for someone to pick up. Found a different customer service number and called again, on phone for 15 minutes. Now went on-line to set up an on-line account so I can try and reach someone. "can not set up account right now". Maybe because I technically DON'T have an account, since I tried to cancel it almost 2 years ago! Believe it or not right now I am on hold, for the third time today, now at 12 minute mark. Had Pitney Bowes for over 20 years!!! They are the WORSE company. Besides the fact that their customer service is so horrible, the reason why I was canceling is because in Aug-Nov I actually had 3 postage machines at one time!!! I never ordered them, but somehow had them in my possession. Finally had someone pick the extra machines up.. He told me "Don't buy stock in Pitney Bowes".. update, now on phone for 16 minutes!!

PITNEY BOWES

My Complaint is about pitney bowes we have had our postage machine for over 15 years in December of 2016 our machine went out
pitney bowes sent a new machine . we were able to put In postage refill in to it. and put it on 2 letters and this new unit quit working
I called pitney bowes several time only to be left on HOLD for over an HOUR each attempt. I finally today January 18th 2017 tried yet again I was on HOLD for over 2 HOURS I am returning this mail station, I called rep . and he. told me I could not do that I was under a contract
well well if you cant get any help in this matter . PITNEY BOWES is a really bad company you are better off going to the
post office to mail you things than trying to contact this company it is PETTIFUL

Unauthorized ACH draft

I made a one-time payment for a bill through checking account information provided on the PB website. A week later, I removed the account information. Now, 5 months later, PB claims a "computer glitch" takes money from my checking account for an invoice that had been paid by a mailed check and posted a week earlier. I had no balance due. Customer Service said it happened to 5000 people! Do the math: if it occurred to 5000 people, on an average $500.00 bill, that's 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS! The worst part? They won't credit my checking account for the "glitch" despite acknowledging the error. Almost 4 weeks later and they still have my money, with no forecast of when it will be would be returned. WHAT CRIMINALS!

I am now forced to go through my bank and file a complaint of an unauthorized payment and fear that these thieves will do the same in the future. I cannot break the contract soon enough, though I have heard that that endeavor will be fraught with more deception and lies on PB's part, ie., we never got the equipment back, you didn't notify us in time to terminate the lease, yadda, yadda.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS!!!

TIme to phase them out

We've had a meter for several years. If we had a higher volume of letters going out, I would considering keeping the machine. But at our volume of about 50 letters per month, we are paying about $0.80 per stamp (it was $0.90 before I reduced our cost by removing the ValueMAX program fee and received a reduced rate after trying to cancel a couple of years ago).

I have several complaints about the company's fees and costs: 1) There was a "ValueMAX" insurance-like policy automatically added onto our lease from the start totaling $40-50 per year. My employer paid that fee for years before I determined that our company's own insurance policy covered the meter and we did not need the extra one. 2) They want about $80 for the little red ink cartridge for the meter. One time they called and said we hadn't bought ink in awhile and reminded me that non-compatible cartridges could damage the machine. The compatible ones are about $10 online and they never caused any problems. Their other supplies (labels , etc) are overpriced as well. 3) Their discount of $0.005 per stamp do not make much of a difference. Maybe if our volume was much much higher. 4) When I called to cancel (before my lease automatically renewed, I learned that I would receive an invoice for about $100.00 to cover the return shipping of the meter. I am not pleased by that as I could safely ship the meter for half that.

Harassment from a former member

You had an employees from the south eastern part of the state.(Jeff Smith) . I sent a comment once to the legal dept. now I found ge was let go what a relief. Now I hear he may be hired back on site somewhere!!! First he was supposed to have a two year no hire and he retired. Go figure. But since he was gone no more harassing emails while ge was at work wanting to take me out at lunch always on his cell phone bothering me and several others from the banks he was going to. He is a total pervert and did thus all on company time. What is wrong with you people letting a sex crazed man work with all these women. I'm sending this with complete privacy or I will sue. This man worried 3 hour days out of 8.

Urge everybody - stay away!

PB. is the one that should be careful, with there sneaky, low down comments, The management should be careful, and look around the corner when there going to Back stab some one. This company does not scare me!!! Especially some of the scum bag attorneys they have. There the lawyers that are too stupid to get a real job. Brian hardwick.
