Dear Mr. Rooney,

Your written response today was very lame. All you did was make up excuses as to why your players did not respect our National Anthem. Let me give you, coach Tomlin and the League some wisdom. Our Anthem IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS PERIOD. Our anthem is about respecting our country, our flag and the men and women who have served, have been injured and died so that your players, your coaches, and yourself can collect your hefty paychecks. The players and now the owners and the league are being an absolute embarrassment to this nation. Our anthem is not the platform for personal protesting.. these players are representing a team, the team's owners and the National Football League. They can protest on their own personal time; but, not when they are on the clock representing you and the entire League. When they don't stand for our Anthem they are representing YOU AND THE LEAGUE. IS THAT REALLY WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT MR. ROONEY AND THE LEAGUE? It's time the owners and the league takes a stance and the right stance with these players. If you don't want to stand for our Anthem.. then you stay in the locker room.. or you can certainly go find employment elsewhere. Our President is 110% correct. I suggest you and the league grow some balls.... screw your head on straight and do the right thing... before an implosion occurs.

This team has become the only bad influence in my childrens life. The Penguins i dont fear,nor do i fear the pirates. I do fear the steelers will show my sons that it is allright to RAPE,MURDER INNOCENT ANIMALS,CHEAT TO WIN, DO STEROIDS TO GAIN AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OR MAKE UP FOR A LACK OF SKILL, SELL OR CONSUME ILLEGAL NARCOTICS, SPOUSAL/DOMESTIC ABUSE, and my favorite(my background is law enforcement) ENDAGERING THE LIFE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS BY SHOOTING AT,HIGH SPEED CHASES,ASSAULT, AND VARIOUS OTHER MEANS. Thats to name some of the offenses. Do you know how hard it is to teach your son right from wrong when their role models show them its allright to do these things if you make enough money and have the right connections. And then there is the behavior on the field. Immature,juvenile,sexually suggestive,antonio brown is the worst role model any kid could follow. Not in my home mr brown keep that kind of thing at your highschool next time you visit because you are an appauling human being. The thought of antonio brown would make chuck knoll ill. The nfl was never clean and wholesome but the steeler organization was the lesser of evils only to become amongst the most evil.The rooneys do a cover up job that would make most politicians envious but if you dig deep enough you can find the truth about this organization. Too many scandals to list. This teams intertwined with gambling, in fact it seems it was born of illegal gambling in america. If i would have known half of these things growing up since the 70's, i would not have spent one penny,or wasted one second supporting such an organization. I wish i could get my time and money back. I can no longer condone such behavior without feeling as though i too am part of the problem and not part of the solution. I dont know how a person of strong morals can overlook such behavior when it has been going on for 50 years of my life. It has steadily gotten worse year after year and by covering up incidents and continually try to excuse criminal actions the rooneys send me a message that says"we only care about how excessive wealth we can accumulate,we could care less about the moral fabric of an entire nation". This corporation doesnt do anything to discourage such behavior they reward it by allowing the offender to keep their job. Not punishing criminal,unethical,immoral,narcissistic behavior epuates to promoting it. The steelers are a shameful insitution of contradiction. I feel deceived when they label these guys as professional. Professional what? pole dancers,thieves,drug dealers. Dancers dance,criminals break the law and ballplayers play ball. See how one might get confused when it comes to this team? Grown men dont act like this team does. Real men dont rape women or dance like strippers on a football team. I would bet antonio brown has a tramp stamp of tomlin posing in a diaper saying"hey you clown,clean it up out there. i think brown has his naval pierced also...what a woman,he is no lady but his behavior does resemble that of a teenage girl from any american highschool. I can no longer support this team and say i am against anything immoral or illegal if i too will just look the other way while the problem becomes worse yer by year. The steelers are perpetual offenders and the organization has done nothing to correct the ongoing problem of over 50 years. I can no longer support corporations who sponsor these institutions without feeling guilty myself. I havent bought a heinz product in over 3 years and never will. I can no longer contribute to things that damage a nation. i sacrificed for a nation that was great not the debauchery of a steeler nation and its negative influence on not only the youth of a nation but the ignorant adults who look to television to develop their own personalities. I am sick and tired of people doing bad things and saying,"well he did it and people worship him".why can he get away with it? if he did it i can do it too.
I dont expect anyone to change based on the opinion of another but i am saying if you can overlook all the wrong somebody does because they entertain you then you cant be that solid of a person and maybe should mend your own moral fabric a bit. Time to do a self analysis of who you really are when you root for the steelers. Tell your wife or daughter that ben was thinking about them and he wishes them well. God bless America....Army strong.
