Flight messed up
Flight Newark – Toronto
Booked 2 tickets for NEWARK-Toronto flight for July 03,2021 on May29,2021 through Priceline Itinerary# 397-245-033-45.
Paid total amount $224.46
On June21,2021 requested Priceline to move booking to July06,2021 and paid difference of fare $ 249.40 as one free change was allowed by AIRCANADA. Priceline confirmed re-booking to July 06,2021 same day.
I tried to open my booking on AIRCANDA web site on July02 ,2021 for seat selection but it did not show up. I talked to Priceline agent and then supervisor who could not give any answer and told me they moved this case to their resolution team who will update me within 24-72 hours.
Talked multiple times to agent and supervisor even few hours before flight on July 6th but they all still maintained that my flight is cancelled they will update in 24-72 hours.
Finally could not take flight on July, 6th .
During this period I have wasted so many hours making constant phone calls to Priceline agents and supervisor. I first reported this July02,2021 and even today called them on July 12,2021 they give same answer that resolution team will update me in 24-72 hours when 10 days have already passed. There is no refund of total fare I paid to Priceline $474.36 as on date.

Priceline Illegally Recording Consumers
California's wiretapping law is a "two-party consent" law. California makes it a crime to record or eavesdrop on any confidential communication, including a private conversation or telephone call, without the consent of all parties to the conversation. See Cal. Penal Code § 632.
When you call Priceline.com they alert you before you are connected to a customer service agent that the call may be recorded but when they call you they never disclose you are being recorded.
This is illegal and billions of dollars have been paid out in Class Actions Lawsuits for corporations doing exactly this same thing.
I received a call from the executive offices of Priceline and even patched in a third party regarding unauthorized purchases on my credit card. Neither of us were told the call was being recorded until 55 minutes later when the representative nonchalantly stated "We record all incoming and outgoing calls". At that point it was an immediate goodbye on our part.

hotel
Priceline is a scam. They say they have special deals but when I selected their offer it took me almost an hour out of the way. When I contacted customer service they said they could do nothing. Do not use Priceline. They act like they are finding you deals only to stick you. I had to book another hotel since I was traveling cross country and could not go an hour out of the way.

Priceline Appears to be a SCAM
Made a reservation in Sept 2018 with Priceline for flights to London from Edmonton, return. On my return trip, when I landed in Reykjavik, Icelandair informed that I didn't have a reservation made from Reykjavik to Vancouver. After being put on hold by Priceline for 40 mins, Priceline tried to rebook me on the flight but were not able as it was too close to my departure time. The only way I was able to get home that day was to pay for the flight myself, so both Priceline and Icelandair advised me to do so. At that time I asked the Priceline Customer Service Rep to ensure I was booked on the flight from Vancouver to Edmonton that night. I then had to hang-up us I needed to board the plane. When I arrived in Vancouver, same thing, Priceline had not booked me on the WJ flight out of YVR to YEG. I had to pay both of these flights out of my pocket.
I called Priceline to find out how I get reimbursed - the Customer Service Rep told me there was nothing they could do as the airline had cancelled the reservation. Priceline rep also told me they could not even reimburse my original flight. So basically Priceline is a SCAM. They get you out of country where you are helpless, then take your money.
I'm out of pocket for return flights home - plus accommodation and expenses - not to mention how horrible it was to be left like this, and a terrible end to what should have been a great experience.

Flight Time Changes
The customer service person himself was wonderful; however, the results of the situation was not. My flight was changed from 6am arriving at 1030am to leaving at 11am arrivng at 530pm. This is unacceptable. If I wanted to arrive that late I would have booked it that way. I need to arrive by 2pm for the plans have I scheduled. I was told there was nothing that could be done. I will never book with price-line and will never recommend them to anyone either. Shady bait and switch.
I called Delta Airlines and was told Priceline needed to make the change and then called Priceline and was told the opposite. This is apparent bait and switch. The advertised low fare for early flight and then changed me to late flight. This ruins my plans and doesn't give me back the money I will lose for arriving late. No regard for people plans and why people choose the flight times that they do. I am very upset and disappointed because Priceline has offered nothing to fix this drastic change in my fight times.
I will never recommend Priceline. You book one way and are just given what is cheapest for them. I was not aware of any changes until I tried to forward my itinerary. Poor customer service and apparent bait and switch.

They are misleading on price comparisons
Booked a reservation thru them using one credit card which prepaid for the room. At check in the hotel said needed a card
for "incidentials" which I gave them using a different card than one presented online.
Upon check out, I was given my receipt showing a charge on the second card only, the one presented at check in. It was
for $9.22 less; when questioned, the clerk explained that there is one rate for the hotel, direct booking and a price line charge which is always higher....wtf
So priceline charges one rate when you book for them that covers their "fee" which is directly in conflict with their advertising which says it will be the lowest price...isn't that considered fraud?
Last time I ever use priceline.com as they ripped me off. The hotel they recommended had numerous maintenance issues and was also a ripoff....
With all the complaints about priceline, I am surprised someone (an atty. general for example) has not filed a class action suit;
I will join it if that ever happens.

False advertising
We booked through Priceline after reading that 1- you could cancel within 24 hours and 2- that we had 3 nights in the hotel. Both of which were untrue. First off, after booking we got the itinerary, and technically you only get 2 nights. You have to fly out before midnight (hardly what I'd call a third night). Second we proceeded to cancel since you only get 2 nights, and only got half of our money back. We had to keep the room. We then had to book our own flight in order to get to use the 3 full nights that we paid for!
The customer service was TERRIBLE!!!!! It took many hours and phone calls and transfers to get it straightened out, no thanks to Priceline. We had to fix it ourselves , and pay more for our flight in order to not lose the room. We tried cancelling within the hour, but it literally took hours. A very disappointing experience!! Sressful

misleading (illegal?) advertising
wow after reading what happened to others here this seems like small potatoes. clicked on a link from MSN homepage... nice targeted ad for midsize car at the Denver airport for a great price on the dates I have been searching. further investigation revealed that the car was available for TRIPLE the advertised price. (didn't buy) online chat with customer service and multiple requests for contact information of the company ombudsman were fruitless. Company is a joke

Scam and poor customer service
I booked a vacation package on last night that included a flight, hotel and rental car. The packaged was booked with a flight showing it would leave between 4pm-8pm but you cannot see the price until you book the flight. I paid for the flight and was given an itinerary showing that my flight does not land until 11:04 pm. The rental car is not reserved until 1130 pm. Check in to the hotel is at 4:00 pm and the confirmation that Priceline provided to me states that my hotel check in is only guarteed for that day and can be canceled with no refund if I show up late. I called Priceline and spoke to a representive after reading this because I know that there is no way possible that I will get to the airport, get my luggage and rental car and make it to the hotel before 12am. I will be lucky if there are no delays to get there by 2am. The representive John that I spoke to was not helpful at all. He told me that he would send an email to the hotel requesting a late check in but it could not be guaranteed that they would do this. I phone the hotel and was informed that I have to be there by 2am. So now I will be traveling along with my friend with the possibility of no hotel accommodations when I arrive to my destination even though I have paid for them. Thanks Priceline. This sucks and is the most unfortunate thing ever. I will never use this service again.

car rental
I booked a car , requested the airport location. The booking was accepted by SIXT company that is not at the airport and you have to take 2 shuttles to go there. I requested the cancellation , but Priceline told me that company considered to be at the airport and refuses to cancel this reservation. Total BS.

PRICELINE HOSED ME ON A CAR RESERVATION- BUYER BEWARE- NO FELXIBILITY WITH PRICELINE.COM
I have made a 3 week car reservation through Priceline and I have been a LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR YEARS- they forget the key word "CUSTOMER", because I need to change a reservation for a car rental by one day due to a family need. They tell me "SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, BUT WE CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE THAT". I am not asking for a complete cancellation, and you already have your money PRICELINE, all I am asking for is to pickup my car on Sunday as opposed to Saturday. "THIS CAN NOT BE CHANGED DUE TO OUR POLICY- I AM SORRY FOR YOUR INCONVENIENCE", says the rep.
BUYERS OF PRICELINE.com BEWARE- I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OVER THE YEARS, Including this reservation which is for $1250 dollars. HOWEVER, YOUR LITTLE POLICY WILL NOT RECEIVE ANOTHER PENNY FROM ME OR ANY OF MY EMPLOYEES going forward. AND I HOPE OTHERS READ THIS AND CONSIDER THE CONSEQUENCES BEFORE THEY USE PRICELINE!!

Priceline wouldn't payt the resort
We had a horrible experience with Priceline and we'll never use Priceline again! When we arrived to the resort last week for our honeymoon they informed us that they have not received payment from Priceline and wanted us to pay. We paid Priceline back in February and pulled up the credit card bill to prove it. The resort had emailed and called Priceline multiple times before we got there to get the money and no one would respond or give them the money. We spent our first 3 hours of our honeymoon trying to sort this out with Priceline. Finally the resort let us check into our room for the night even though they still had not received payment from Priceline. The next day the resort called our room to say they still have not received payment. The credit card information that Priceline sent the resort was declined 4 times. So, we spent another 2 hours on the phone with Priceline trying to get them to pay so we could enjoy our honeymoon that we paid good money for! They finally sent new credit card information and it went though. This was our honeymoon and we were stressed and frustrated for the first 2 days of our trip because of this! We thought this was a legit company but this was all very shady and so were the people we talked to at Priceline during this. Never again will we use this company nor would we recommend it to anyone.

corprate selfish, inhuman system
made flight reservationfor our honeymoon ,within days found my job and school schedule had changed, I cannot miss school or will loose my position and be set back for 6 months. I called priceline.com to ask that they issue and hold a credit for a later date, ...they told me it can not be cancelled...regardless use or lose, very very rude customer service...seems all they want is money nothing else...customers are not first priority to them....everyone that works there is a robot, I hope none of the people in that coporation can sleep at night for the inhuman way that they are taught and accept in their treatment of others. Corrupt from the top down.
Total disregard for the money they are taking from hard working citizens.
So I will suggest to book with companies that have good reputation, honesty and treat customers with respect....

scam
I have booked a car rental with pickup location different than drop-off location on May 6th 2014 for 4 days. I have page back to review option and then returned to the final page before making reservation. I have reviewed the rental agreement everything was as I needed. Upon executing the order the confirmation came back with drop-off the same as pickup. It did not help talking to the customer representative and I ended up paying $90 penalty to cancel the reservation.
Since the form has shown the exact order detail but the confirmation was different I believe Priceline may be running a script that makes customers lose money making a slight change in confirmation while showing no change in reservation. this is a trap for anyone paging back to check options with Priceline.
Beware as you can be scammed like me.

Don't Give you What you bid on
I bid on a 3.5 star resort with a pool. They gave me a 4 star with no pool. I didn't bid on a 4 star because I didn't want high Valet fees and knew that there were a few four stars without pools through my research. But because this resort will shuttle me back and forth a mile away to a pool they won't do anything about it because there is a pool available to me. (just 1 mile away) I even said I would take a different resort with a pool and they didn't have to refund but that was a no also..... Very misleading and there customer service is absolutely worthless!!!! I have booked for a few years through them and will NEVER again because of the TERRIBLE customer service. Priceline is a JOKE.

NAME YOUR OWN PRICE IS A SCAM
We used Priceline to negotiate a price for 2 rooms in the Charleston SC area, using the "Name Your Own Price" feature. The website claims they negotiate up to 60% off the regular price of a room. Their "negotiation" resulted in the payment of the regular price the hotel was charging. Upon complaint, per phone call, a rude representative told us in essence, "Tough S^#*." We were told, "When you place a Name Your Own Price® request, you should always research the available rates shown on our site, then enter a price that reflects the savings you would like to receive." Please tell me how to research a rate when you aren't informed what hotel/motel they are assigning until you agree to the transaction. We trusted that we would receive at least a 40% discount off the regular price of the room. We have e-mailed them and only receive obviously pre-scripted responses. We are now in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General, and the FTC. We will NEVER use Priceline again!

Offensive Televsion AD
As a Catholic, I was offended by a commercial on TVLand which aired during the am hour (ET) on March 15th, 2012. The ad depicts a "Catholic" nun dressed in full habit, lounging in what is presumably a resort (first offense). Conveniently, a scantily-clad woman slowly passes by the nun in the background as if to create a comic effect by showing the contrast between the two women (second offense). Priceline also has the nun character lament the death of the company's former hero who was portrayed in the past by actor William Shatner. Clearly, this company has chosen to join the ranks of entities who shamelessly use elements of Christianity and Catholicism in particular, as vulgar entertainment and for marketing tactics. I wrote to the only person listed as the "Media Relations" contact whose email address is [email protected] and who is yet to reply to my letter of complaint. Keep in mind, that if anyone out there wishes to contact Priceline.com's cowardly Media Relations department, you will have to click the "Investor Relations" tab toward the bottom of the main site. This will lead you to a separate site for people who are apparently more important than you and me. Once on the Investor Relations site, click the "Contact Us" tab and you will be directed to the contact information for Management / Customer Service and Media Relations. I have contacted a number of organizations about this ad and will continue to do so.

Offensive Televsion AD
Great comment. I'm not Catholic, but I do respect everyone's right to follow whatever faith their conscience dictates. So, what gives "Priceline" the right to lampoon an entire population of laudable women who have devoted their very lives to their faith, and who, by rights, deserve our admiration?
Keep in mind that this frivolous attack was not launched for any honest disagreement on theology, but rather to pander to some possible perceived angst that might exist in the consuming public. Odds are, the marketing suits who signed off on this ad are totally mystified by any backlash that may be occurring.
The larger question is why "PRICELINE" and the media feel safe to direct ridicule and scorn against Christian beliefs, but they would never consider doing so to Islam or Judaism, or Buddhists or Hindus or American-Indian Shamanism or Wicca followers or Haiti Voodooists or atheists!? Why not depict a Muslim woman in full regalia, with only her eyes peering out, with the very same dialogue? Why wouldn't that be just as funny? I guess (in the case of Muslims) it's because the ad execs are afraid of being kidnapped from their gated communities & getting their heads cut-off. Highlighted on You Tube. But, their answer, of course, is that they are simply doing what "sells". And that, if Americans didn't find Catholics "funny" they wouldn't do it. The old dog-wagging-the-tail justification. That's, of course, a lie.
The real reason for such ads is that they want to be seen by the consuming public as "edgy", daring and brave, "ahead of the curve", anti-establishment and iconoclastic. In other words, what, presumably, they believe the 24 to 45 yr. old age group truly appreciates.
I'm not certain what these execs believe their souls are worth, but they, obviously, have decided that their annual salaries + bonuses (if the ads are successful) exceed it.
If this were not foretold in scripture I would be much more upset than I am. But, because it is, I guess I am more philosophical, and more of a mind to just give them the rope they need to hang themselves for eternity. At the same time, I admire those folks, like you, who will fight these outrages to the bitter end.
In the end, we can agree on one thing. Hereafter, the name "PRICELINE", and its executives, will never come up in conversation when I don't attack them as the enemies of Christians and the embodiment of evil that they are. Is that too strong? It's not strong enough.

We wrote them three times and they completely ignored us
My husband and I used Priceline.com to reserve a hotel room in Grand Junction CO on the 2nd of August. When we arrived at the hotel, we noticed that Priceline was overcharging us. We wrote them that same day and they said they will reimburse us the amount of $10.00 on our next reservation, even though they mention on their site "Choose the price, area and star level, we'll find a quality name "brand or independent hotel for you! We guarantee you'll book a big "deal or we'll give you $25."
On the 16th of August we reserved again an hotel room in Grand Junction and again they overcharged us and we didn't receive the 10 dollars they offered us. Or if they included the 10 dollars discount in their price, then they overcharged us $10.00 for the room.
We wrote them three times and they completely ignored us. The importance here is not really the money, but the dishonesty towards their clients.

THEY are not overcharging you. YOU overcharged yourself. YOU choose the price you want to pay from the choices you are given, OR you name your own price and see if it is accepted by a hotel. YOU need to research the price with the hotel FIRST before booking on Priceline.
