His company specialises in roof cleaning - but the work invariably causes additional damage which must be rectified. From speaking to several of his other customers, they all agree that they feel that his company generates additional work from the forced concentration of power washing on mortar joints. Ridge tiles and verges need to be re-seated.

He makes a big deal of being a member of the Federation of Roofing Contractors... but they, as an organisation, do not agree with his service.

The roof coating that he applies which provides protection from regrowth on the roof for years has been looked in to and found to be next to useless - and would wash off after the first rain fall.

If you must use this company - my advice would be to get confirmation (in writing) that he will rectify ANY damage caused by his pressure washing. Do not accept any lines that the cement is poor (look at this... as he snaps a bit in his fingers). If he is unwilling to agree to this, request a written quote for ridge tile and verge relaying... and only progress if you're willing to accept this cost. It is also quite probable that he will find a host of other issues and insist they need repairing.

I looked for online reviews for this company before I appointed them - and found none (only that Companies House have his company listed as dissolved in 2017). Had I known what I now know, I would not have appointed him.

Please use your own judgement as to whether to appoint him. He is a smooth talker - but make sure you know what your end costs are likely to be before committing to anything.
