landlord won't give me the monthly statement
My problem is a shared meter between two apartments, (one of which is illegal). Apartments E and F
This was a house that they added a wall to get two apartments.
112 Paris Ave, Northvale NJ. I live In E and other Tenant in apartment F
The landlord wanted me to put the account in my name and from past experience when my roommate, who has gone now, had it in his name, we had trouble getting half of the payment from the tenant in apartment F.
She has a power of attorney that controls her finances. He is negligent to pay monthly and let's the bills add up until the Final Notice appears. But, the main problem is that THE LANDLORD does not give me the bills! And then, when he does, he expects me to pay half, which includes charges that i did not accumulate. This causes chaos when I try to pay my half because PSE&G will not give me information about the bill since the account is in the landlord's name.
When I call PSE&G they say they need the four last digits of his tax number, which he won't tell me. Nor will he make a simple call to authorize my access to the account. His wife says she doesn't have, or has to look for it
A few things are happening here, 1)They want me to pay the entire bill (tenant in F is leaving in April),
2) They are spiting me because I won't put the account in my name 3) they misplace their own bills too,
4) they don't like me. Today I spoke to yet another supervisor who also said there is nothing they can do.
So, now, the other tenant is moving and the landlord may take the apartment and stay a few days during the week to save driving from his house at the shore. Their shop is fifteen feet from my door. They can put the bill in my mailbox or I can run over to get it when it comes!
I think this needs to go to Bias.njcivilrights and tenant/landlord court, but I don't want to take legal action!
So? Stop paying PSE$G. He will have to pay... Then eviction process etc. They are very bad rich people and landlords. PSE&G----Just tell him to give me the bills since he may get screwed in the end because it is illegeal to have one meter for two dwellings. (I also don't have a thermostat, and Apt. F cranks the heat because her smaller radiators are blocked by furniture and boxes and clothes.
Legal action to follow ...Thanks PSE&G, you suck!

Constant Estimates killing my bills
I had them install a new meter that a meter reader can read my usage outside of the house since I'm never home for when they arrive to read my meters. Only problem is I still keep receiving estimated bills from them. Last tine I called them about this they litteraly said "the person who was supposed to read you meter didn't read it". So lemme get this straight, these people are paid to read meters which they never do so my question to PSE&G is; why the hell are you paying these people if they're so incompetent and useless as to not read the easy-to-read meter i got installed on the side of my house??? I'm sick of seeing the little "E" on my usage only to have the next bill "calculate the difference" which really means to stack the difference from the Low-balled estimate to make me pay more money. Get your shit together PSE&G and start watching the peoe who work for you because they're not doing their jobs at all.

PSEG charged us an additional 698 Therms charged not used by us at all.

There was a mistake made on PSE&G 's part. Now that the mistake has been cleared up I'm now responsible for a 2, 600 dollar bill. I feel very strongly that I shouldn't have to pay this bill

Civitas - Take your damned advertising elsewhere. Sure I'd love to have solar if 1) I lived in a relatively sunny part of the country and 2) I had the 20 grand it would take to set it up. Your "alternative" is as offensively clueless as it is self serving.
