Today is Tuesday the 11th of November 2014. While shopping for items I checked the meat department for hams.. I found this ham - I was shocked at the price per pound. I took a picture.,., thinking that no one would believe me at all. I was overwhelmed by the price per pound at $7.99 - boneless. Then upon further checking.. in dis-belief.. I noticed that this ham was a day past it
sell date on the label. It has always been my go to for good quality store in the area and I can't believe .. the price was bad enough (extravagant at least) but, to also find the store trying to sell something outdated... where is the Store Manager, the Meat Manager... where is the State Board of Regulators. I don't think in this time of tight money (obviously overpriced.. since the "sell window" had past) that this is rape of the consumer. And fortunately I am glad that I can point out this to Publix. In this day of cut wages.. decreased food stamp vouchers and most families struggling...to make ends meet - I find this very distasteful service.
I know that Publix is not a cut rate operation.. but, this is over the top - when it comes to pricing. Please check on the management of this grocery location the store number is I believe S1375. located at 1620 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, Alabama.
