I need a genetic blood test done Test # 17726 for Cystic Fibrosis. I need to pay out of pocket. They refuse to tell me and provide me documentation on how much it will cost. They want me to take the test and whatever amount they charge me pay it. This is outrageous and a shameful practice considering i'm getting the test because of a health challenge. I have talked, and been shuffled to approx 20 phone reps "departments' All the same phone reps. just sending me back into call waiting hell. over the past two weeks over the phone. Going into local Labs is the same. They keep encouraging me to "just do the test" and they will work out the payment plan. WHATS THE COST!!?? No answers. Its a shamfulway to for Quest Diagnostics to do business and I plan to contact my state and federal officials.
