For people that are trying not to draw attention to themselves, you sure are doing a good job of doing the exact opposite. You are also proving the exact point I am making of being attacked by the Captain for years in this same manner.

None of this bothers me its 99% falsehood, however there are a couple of things that you should be clearly aware of.

1 you are implicating other parties.

2. One of your statements if true which I strongly doubt, is in clear violation of my civil and privacy rights. That in itself is a huge implication of just not other parties but a much larger implication that if I were you would be very careful of shouting out, publicly.


Now for such a violent reaction to mostly statements of opinion, though some definitive statements of truth, all I can say is I must have struck a chord with someone. Now I’m off enjoying my life and my successes, my family. And you all are explaining your entire life and focusing on someone you think is crazy, disillusioned, out of touch with reality, and on and on. One must stop and ask what then is your problem.

I appreciate the information you have so willingly volunteered, but if I were you. I’d go back to enjoying that life. My request is as always silence from the Captain.

So we have heard from an old flame (that’s you), an ex (that’s Sam), and now it is time to hear from me, the current girlfriend. Before I do however, I want to be clear this will not launch a back and forth conversation. I simply want to clarify some exceptional misrepresentations of facts and ensure the handful of folks who will read this, are equipped with truth rather than revisionist history.

I have known Captain Sonnier for many years – through the Nancy period and the others that followed. This is a pained history for all those involved, but the venom that continues to leak illustrates a separation from reality that is difficult to ignore. It's more akin to a school girl having her braids tugged by the boy she secretly likes, but doesn’t want to risk her emotions showing until she is sure he will respond in kind: I can say unequivocally, he will not.

I am a realist and well versed in Randy’s history. He has led a colourful life and the women who have come before me have shaped him into a wonderful, compassionate, and slightly flawed human being. He is not naive to his shortcomings, nor am I. On the contrary, he has faced his challenges and continues moving forward on his healing journey – something we do together. His words have inspired others and through his own self-awareness, he has emerged stronger and more resilient. He is a wonderful and multifaceted human being, and, an amazing partner that I am so proud and grateful for. And, I am not alone in my accolades.

His dedication to canoe journey was acknowledged through the gifting of a beautiful ship, that this year alone will see more than 5000 miles of sea time. He is a very respected captain and called upon by tribal communities throughout the coastal corridor for his expertise and knowledge. To suggest he lacks credentials, or struggles with substance or alcohol, is simply inaccurate. It is an absurdly implausible narrative that says far more about you than him.

Being invested in someone who does not reciprocate your feelings must be difficult especially for you, someone so clearly invested and intent on shaming Randy both personally and professionally. Surely you must get the sense such antics aren’t working as evident by his continued successes. Imagine how much more effective and satisfying it would be if you turned your energy towards curating a new story for yourself based on your life and your own journey, devoid of the fictitious representations you have of him.

Randy is surround with amazing family and friends who respond to your words not with anger, but with incredible sadness that you are still harbouring such emotions for something that is long over, and someone, who has healed and moved on. Perhaps it is time you do the same.
