I have used Rentalcars.com to book my car rental through Dollar in DFW, supposed to pick up on 2/24 noon. However, the Dollar told me that Rentalcars, com required the International driver license, and US driver license is not acceptable (remember, I booked the car in Texas).
It is clear to me that the website of rentalcars.com and during the booking process it has never try to identify my driver license status and origin. Rentalcars.com CS team insisted the international driver license requirement is listed in the vulture, right after I finished my booking process, and paid (that is ridiculous).
They do not take responsibility, disrespect and discriminate US customer, and mislead. They only gave me the refund of my booking but did not accept my request of compensation neither willing to improve their process to prevent any future confusion and complaints. (I booked another car in the front desk in DAL with Dollar and it costed me 3 times higher, that was a loss out of the rate I have agreed and accepted when I was booking with Rentalcars.com)
I am here to make it clear that Rentalcars owe me the USD2000 compensation due to their misleading and not taking the responsibility to ensure customer is aware of the necessary information, before the booking and paying for the contract.
I will not use this company in any future since they do not understand our culture and willing to set things right for the customer, and taking the responsibility.
Hope it is clear.
