RMS Collection Agency sent a letter to my name at my parents address claiming we owe them money from an Expedia flight on American Airlines. I have been in touch with Expedia Corporate regarding this matter, and they claim that this is a scam and fraud situation. We believe someone got my email address or into my Expedia account and is now trying to get money from us via this RMS Collections Agency after calling and emailing me did not get them the information they needed. I am concerned this will cause issues on my credit if not removed, though I am not sure if RMS is a legitimate company or not. As the letter from RMS states that they are working under Expedia's direction, yet Expedia says they have no connection or relationship with RMS, this leaves me no way to remove myself from any issues with my credit. Please look into RMS and why they are contacting me. Expedia will also be contacting them directly. The person who had contacted me prior to RMS from Expedia has also been contacted by Expedia Corporate and they said the number was disconnected. Expedia Corporate thinks that person and RMS are working together running a scam.
