I spent many, many hours over a 2 week period trying to find a place to rent. I only received a couple of responses to dozens of inquiries I made. Most of my time was spent trying to decipher which ads were legit, which were very, very few. I received only 5 responses and all but two were from people who actually had rentals I could use. Of those two, one was too expensive (yet it did not filter out as I requested), and the other I was only able to get the guy to say maybe he would contact me the following week to come look at the place. He had someone else that was going to rent the space and I was only his back-up apparently. So for two weeks of my precious time plus charges of $14.99 to verify me by my drivers license plus $7.95 for the first week. Then on the second week, still sifting through all the fraudulent ads trying to find a place to rent and before I could even cancel (I had put a note with an alarm right on my calendar to cancel before I was charged for a third week), they charged my card an ADDITIONAL $24.95. When I asked them to remove that OVERCHARGE amount they flat out refused and I got nowhere with them. I’m left to dispute this through PayPal and my bank. What a colossal waste of my time and money!!!! STEER CLEAR OF ROOMSTER...if you’re trying to seriously find a place to rent.

Re: Roomster unauthorized charges:

I paid a one time fee of $7.95 for 5 days and I canceled my membership at 4 days. However, roomster keeps charging my bank account 24.95 each month! CANCEL MY ACCOUNT - AGAIN. And I am calling my bank to stop payment.
