We stayed in Mammoth Lakes, CA from 12/29/13 to 1/1/14 at a rental from VRBO - Listing #382702. By 1/3/14, the owner notified us that we damaged her dresser drawer in the bunk bed room. We asked her for details and pictures. We've been having to follow up with her as her communication to us is not timely. After several requests, she finally sent us pictures on 1/21 and has still not formally charged us. As a result, she still has our deposit of $500. She said she may charge us for a complete replacement that will cost us around $200 or a repair but she's still waiting for that assessment. She uses the excuse that Mammoth is remote. Her property management is not professional and customer service is not her main concern. I want her to formally charge us. Waiting 26+ days and counting for an assessment is ridiculous especially with the small damage she is claiming, see attached.
