Dismissive, Rude, argumentative and raising voice at customers

On Monday 6/5/2023, I went to pick up my medication for my neuropathy pain at Safeway Pharmacy 5051 Mae Anne Ave. Reno, NV 89523. They close at 8pm and I was there Just before they closed, 8:57pm, and the young man was helping me get my prescription. When it came time to pay, my son’s debit card didn’t go through because he gave me wrong one.
He was out in the van waiting for me, and it was after 8pm so I asked if they could just give me an emergency supply of 4 of them, which is what my prescription is for one night, and I would come get the rest in the morning. The lady became very dismissive, rude said no, that it was time to close. I told her that I really needed it because I won’t sleep without it because of the pain my neuropathy causes me and that I was completely out. She said that they don’t do that and that it was too late, she wasn’t going to give me just 4 because it would take too long. I told her that they do do that and have done it for me not too long ago. I told her how they did it last time, where they just gave me the 4 and I’d pay for them and get the rest in the morning. She raised her voice and asked me if I even had the money to get the 4. I told her no, but my son had it in the van outside. Again raising her voice saying that I was just going to ask for 4 and not pay for it. I said no, I would come back in the morning for the 116 tablets left in the prescription. She said no, she wasn’t going to help, I reminded her that I would be in pain all night. She said no and I said that I was there on time, that I was the customer but she said they were closing. I asked if I could speak to the boss, she said that she was the boss and she started closing up saying that she was sorry. I told her that she wasn’t sorry, and just then my son showed up with his card. I got my meds.

I’m not the kind of person to write bad reviews and I was going to just drop it. Then when I saw the ratings and the other reviews on the web page, I figured that I’m not the only one to complain, I feel it’s time for someone to step in and help the customers here. In the past, I have spoken to the same lady and she was dismissive then too.

I really do hope that someone will do something about the rude attitudes that patients have been experiencing.
