We live in Valdez Alaska, and Safeway recently took over the pharmacy that is adjacent to the grocery store. I recently tried to fill a prescription for severe pain I am experiencing with the onset of Shingles, and was told that they do not have this available, nor are they able to order this, as Safeway has somehow botched their application and paperwork to take over the pharmacy.

So this leaves many people in Valdez without a pharmacy and medications needed, many of which are life sustaining.

This also leaves me in severe pain caused by shingles with no resolution. I was told that I can take the prescription to another pharmacy to be filled.

. Guess where the nearest pharmacy is: Glennallen Alaska at 120 miles away, or Palmer Alaska at 252 miles away.

This is completely unacceptable to abandon the pharmaceutical needs of the people of Valdez and needs Executive intervention IMMEDIATELY!!

Please let me know immediately when this can be corrected!!
