On dec. 5,2020 my fiance and I had gone to west mifflin, PA Sams club, where we were looking at the jewlery. Althoug there was a sign on the counter that stated you coudn't try the jewlery on...the mananger understood my point of view, and let me try a ring on. She simply wiped the ring off with an alcohol swab before and after. Seeing a ring on your finger and how it looks is important especially when your paying $2,000. Thats not something you look at in a case n just buy. Then on Dec.6.2020 we had gone to the washington PA Sams club, where we were still on the search for the perfect ring.I approached the jewlery counter (there was no signs stating jewlery couldnt be tried on)The worker asked if she could help me, I showed her which one I wanted to try on, then she stated..you cant touch it or try it on, its company policy. At that time I asked to speak to a manager. With no result, the manager continued to ignre my point of view in every aspect. I gave him several scenerios and he just ignored me. So it was ok for the worker to hold the ring in her hand with a glove on that shes had on all day touching other things, but not ok for me. I offered to put a glove on...I offered to have it cleaned with alcohol wipes...still got refused. I asked the manage how it was any differnt if I had picked up a package of oranges, then decided i didnt want them and put them back on the shelf.. he had no explaination. Its ok to touch their buggies that you have to self clean, then shop and spend hundreds of dollars, but you can not try on a ring. Very disappointed, thank you for ruining an engagement christmas. Covid is bad enough for people in daily jobs etc, now the rediculous restrictions these stores are doing to make life even harder!! clearly not all Sams clubs have the same policies, or maybe some are more leaniant with compliance. One store has alittle more understanding! If you cant try them on, then why have the jewlery department. Everything shoud just me online only, shut all the stores down! I will be spreading the word of the ignorance within Sam's club "policy" i bet its not in their manual!!
