Last week, we had to fork out $775.00 to replace the defective ice maker in our Samsung French Door refrigerator. I found many complaints online about this issue. My vendor, ABT of Glenview, let me know that Samsung had issued a notice on how to repair these defects and what to purchase to do so. Abt told me to contact Samsung directly for a voucher for repair or reimbursement. I
called Samsung and they told me that they only provide replacement parts during the 1 year warranty-end of story.

Today, I removed the large glass shelf above the crisper bins to wash it and it exploded all over the kitchen. Thank God our dog was in the other room and that I was wearing glasses. How can Samsung deny responsibility for replacing these obviously defective parts!!!
I almost purchased a new fridge but thought it was easier to just replace the ice maker. Now I wish I would have. Can you please provide any suggestions for reimbursement for these defective products or replacement with a new appliance? Thank you
