Just like all working women I was also happy to hear the maternity leave law passed by the government.but little did I know that I will be drives of this benefit ruthlessly.I was working as an Senior software developer in SBN technologies, cochin ,kerala for last 5 years. Currently I am 8 months pregnant and yesterday (10/3/2017) I was forcefully asked to resign from my job . I was mentally tortured and threatened by HR sajeev that I will be terminated for unsatisfactory performance. When I asked for reasons he was not ready to give any and asked me to resign immediately.I was not given any hint on this nor was any performance review done with me before.I was also denied any chance to think and take a decision.i asked permission to contact you but even that was denied.They didnt even consider the fact that I was 8 months pregnant .Even after working in the organisation for the last 5 years i was treated very badly and rudely yesterday. I was not even given a chance to say good bye to my colleagues. I strongly believe this was planned as part of personal vendetta against me by project leader..i had always loved this organisation and was committed towards the projects assigned to me. Project leader always used to hold me responsible for any mistakes for which I was not responsible.now I came to know that he had communicated earlier to a colleague of mine that he will make sure that I will get terminated immediately. request your intervention to provide justice and also to prevent such future experience to other fellow working women
