Itrade account details arre not available.

Itrade account details are often unavailable, making Itrade useless to its customers
Itrade failures give us no choice but to seek out an alternative replacement for Itrade which does NOT work.
The following itrade error message pops up when clicking on accounts.
This problem is unique to itrade and never happens with other internet sites.
The error message indicates that itrade's server is too inadequate to even show account details:

Scotia iTrade long Customer Service wait times

I certainly understand that Covid affected things greatly, but we are now into the second year, and it's ridiculous to have to wait 2 to 6 hours to talk to somebody. The website is relatively poor and nonintuitive, and all I'm trying to do is withdraw some money from my RRIF now that I'm retired.

I'm 'computer savvy' (even was a Computer Science major in college a long time ago). I've looked everywhere on the website for information about linking a bank account and/or transfering money out of my iTrade account, and there is nothing there.

Scotia iTrade Customer Service wait times

I certainly understand that Covid has impacted things, but we are into the second year now, and it's ridiculous to have to wait 2 to 6 hours just to talk to somebody who can help. Help is needed in my case because the website is relativly poor, nonintuitive and lacking in common sense and features that are supposed to be there, as with transfering money from my account (not just into it).

iTrade service

iTrade is total bush league. If it were operating in a Third World country, it would be considered a disgrace.

From a website that is fraught with programming errors; to waiting for hours, yes hours, to reach a client support representative (that is if they ever answers! The last three calls I made to the iTrade Platinum line, my phone ran out of battery charge before anyone answered my "high priority call"!), to a dispute settlement system that says basically, "tough, You had a problem with our system, we are sorry, but NO compensation, thanks for calling....what you are persisting? take your business elsewhere.... oh and we will charge you $150 to close your accounts.

This is hands down the worst managed business I have ever come across anywhere in the world. I can't wait to get my accounts moved out of iTrade and never, no NEVER, return.

iTrade service

I switched two accounts to iTrade believing their marketing pitch had some semblance with reality. Onboarding was handled well. That was the end to service as one would know it in the First World. Hands down the worst experience I have ever hand anywhere. When I needed to contact them, phones calls to their premium Platinum phone line were NEVER answered even after being on hold for 3 or 4 hours! Of the approximately 15 phone calls I have placed to iTrade, only 3 calls were ever picked up. Today I called to discuss an erroneous corporate action sent from their Operations department which will result in me paying taxes on my RSP if not corrected. After three hours on hold, my phone batteries went dead so I will try to call again tomorrow morning early.....

On top of the poor customer service, their iTrade platform is fraught with programming errors that require contact with iTrade to resolve issues. But they cannot be resolved without talking to them in "real" time, or any time. I actually had a bid to buy a stock at $140.50 and got filled at $145.50. How is that electronically possible? Will never know because I still have not been able to discuss with iTrade. I could go on but don't care anymore.

If you are considering switching to iTrade do yourself a favour and don't. I can't wait to get my accounts out of Scotia iTrade and Scotiabank period. What a disgrace!

over charge

I have noticed from time to time that they numbers don't add up and today i followed it to the end where they over charged me $150 on one trade! i wonder how many times this has happened? i am still waiting on phone over hour and a half later.
customer service is bad and hard to get. the platform is slow and lease you wondering if your trade went through.
i am very disappointed with this out fit and will be looking to move to think or swim and see how they are. WARNING THIS PLATFORM WILL LEAVE YOU WANTING!

No Customer Service

I have a substantial account at Scotia iTrade and have simple questions to just help me to understand certain aspects of the site. I have been trying to get though the customer support line and have been on hold for 2hrs several times and have not been able to get through. It is very hard to believe that a company like Scotia Bank operates like this. Reading through the other complaints registered here, I guess the next move is to transfer my account, but I gather that will be a challenge as well. Shows poorly on Scotia Bank for sure.

account restriction - poor customer service

I have open an TSFA account and transfer money to it. 2 weeks later, itrade added restriction to my account saying waiting for document. Now 4 weeks documents has been send and still ,don’t have access to my account. I have to wait on the phone each time for 2h and to be told I just have to wait, and that There is noting that can be done.
Can not believe still have this kind of service. This itrade just need to be closed

Wait time in speaking with agent at Scotia I Trade

I have been a loyal Scotia client for years. I have Scotia I Trade Accounts in which I need to speak to an agent, I cannot do the required transaction on line, otherwise I would. I am outraged and disappointed that I have had to spend more than 2 hours each day trying to speak to an agent!!!! This service is terrible!!! Either hire more agents or have a system where you call back the client within a reasonable time. I even contacted the branch manager of our local Scotia bank, he said there is nothing he could do to get ahold of Scotia I Trade.
Can you tell me why there is such a long wait time? Obviously you do not have enough man power. Also, is it appropriate to have a service that you can not provide?

Customer service

Scotia Trade has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been on hold on multiple occasions for over 1.5 hrs. The manager ( Omar Hussein | OLB Client Solutions Manager) that I requested after my 4 call does not even respond to my calls or emails.

This is buy far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I could never imagine that a company like this can still operate

iTrade website

Jan 13 '10: another day when the discount brokerage website is not available, at all. Of course telephone help is obviously busy and trading is impossible.

This is not the first time since Scotia has taken over eTrade & definitely not the first time since a disastrous conversion executed at the beginning of December '09.

eTrade was a great non-bank brokerage for me for many years, with knowledgeable personnel & excellent website performance & great rates; now we're dealing with banking attitudes, arrogance, and outright incompetence when requesting technical assistance and website design & programming.

I'm looking for a new discount broker, non-bank... I wonder if eTrade would come back to Canada...

iTrade website

They are impossible to get in touch with. I get this ridiculous message how my cal is important to them and yet I am on hold for over an hour. Definitely don't open an account here as their are many better alternatives. Their service has gone downhill since Scotiabank took over. I am moving my RRSP to another institution. M
