New counter top & under mount sink
I signed a contract for a partial renovation to be done as opposed to a full one on Nov, 4, 2015. From Nov.24 through Dec. 22,2015,
I continuously called Sears to inquire as to when they were going to start my counter top & under mount sink renovation. I was unsuccessful getting a straight ans. whenever I spoke to anyone. The majority of times I called, my calls went straight to voicemail, and I received only 2 return calls which resulted in no satisfaction. This went on until Jan. 4, 2016. This was only after I made a significant phone call. Sears finally had their sub-contractor come to me on Jan. 7th to take a template. On Jan. 25, I was appalled because they delivered a totally different counter top from what was in my contract. In the meantime, Sears' plumber had already dismantled and taken out my counter top & sink. I was told by Sears that my correct counter top and sink would be delivered in approximately 12 days. My counter top and sink were delivered on Feb, 8th, 2016. I was without a sink & counter top all that time, and I had to revise my lifestyle. Even though Sears was well aware of this they had no remorse or consideration for my living conditions during that time. Being a senior citizen, needless to say, it was very taxing and exasperating. After the subcontractors left and I entered my bathroom to take a better look at my counter top, I noticed right in front of the sink a white speck on my new London Grey quartz counter top. I thought it was just a speck, but when I slightly ran my finger over it; it was not smooth. I was aghast. It was a nick in the stone the size on a small nail head, Not only had Sears put me through a long exhausting nightmare, but delivered .and installed a quartz counter top with an imperfection. I called the sub-contractor and I was told it was a distressed mark. I know design so I knew better. I also notified Sears abt. this and the comment was next to nil. At that point, after all I have been put through, I didn't dispute it any further. I was finished talking to Sears. However, many letters have been written & I've posted other comments as well.
Sears' work ethics have been far less than admirable, and I am so relieved my dreadful experience with them is over. I just want my physical and emotional ordeal recognized so that others can be fore-warned before doing business with Sears Home Improvement Products,Inc.
