The part that supplies water to the ice maker cracked and there was water damage to the floor and subfloor. It is my suspicion that since there are no parts to replace the part that failed, Kenmore stopped production on this refrigerator and because of them figuring out the problem they unloaded these refrigerators as much as 5 years after this discovery. We were never told the date on manufacturing.
