My Kenmore Elite French door refrigerator model 74042 delivered 8/6/15 has failed 3 times in less than 3 years. Year 1 2/9/17 the motherboard was replaced under warranty. In year 2, we needed a new compressor and dryer which was installed 7-13-17, and had to pay $318 for the labor portion.
Less than a year later, the frig was running too hot again and I was convinced by Sears to buy a 1 year protection agreement for on 6/30/18 for $319.
Today, 7/11/18, the technician said that I need a new compressor and dryer again in less than one year after the last compressor was replaced. Eventhough I have a protection agreement and the compressor is under warranty, I still had to pay $178.96. My installation service date for the compressor is July 25th. LG who makes the compressor does not have an upgraded model which leads me to believe that the new compressor will fail in a short period of time.
What is my remedy?
