Kenmore Elite Oasis rust
Purchased in June 2009. Rusted clear through in the middle of the upper part of the machine above the tub where the water doesn't even go up that far. We tore the machine apart and found a huge rust spot at the bleach dispenser (which I hardly ever used). What a piece of junk. The machine is only just 8 years old. In our old house we had a Matag and never had any problems. I was a little leery of buying a Kenmore. I wished I had listened to my gut but I was so happy to have moved to our new retirement dream house and was expecting a washing machine would last at least ten years.

OL signal/ not rinsing
I bought the set of the Kenmore Oasis He and have had no problems with the dryer and nothing but problems with the washer! My clothes come out sopping wet I have to hand wring out everything! I have had one problem after the other. And put probably twice as much as I paid for it"s original price, For one I thought Sears sold quaility products and two I thought much higher of Kenmore. I'll never buy from either againπ‘π‘ππ

beeping, moving lights
The lights are in consent motion on the spin options. The time also changes between different times. If a setting chooses to work, it will fill with a small amount of water then makes some noise and then begin to beep, time changing and lights on spin chooses changing even faster. Only way to stop the madness is to unplug it. Then for about 10 sec it continues its craziness. I have had this machine since 2007 and could have brought a new one with all the repairs that I have done on it. Thankfully, I have been able to do most of them I can't image what a repairman would cost! Had a Kenmore for over 18 years so that was the reason for choosing this machine. It is a Oasis Elite Kenmore top loading HE washer. I am going to have to buy a cheap used washer because the trips to the laundry mate are getting expensive and very time consuming! Very very disappointed.

Kenmore Elite Oasis Rust
I am not happy with my Kenmore Elite Oasis washer. Between the extended warranties and the repair I have spent $900. I have had it less than 8 years and had it repaired 3 times. I can tell when it is going out because the washing machine starts getting very loud and has issues with getting enough water in the drum which also throws off the spin cycle. I forgot what the part is called but I have had it replaced twice now. Rust is the latest issue. It started the first year we had it and it rusted around the bleach dispenser but recently I found pieces of rusted metal in the machine. After further inspection it's coming from the inside top. The drum is fine but if you run your hand inside around the top the powder coated and sealed paint comes off in my hand. I had to go around and get all the loose pieces off so it won't come off in the wash. I have done this twice now after finding pieces of rusted paint in the machine. I plan to go to the hardware store and buy some paint and repaint it myself. Sears is worthless about taking any responsibility and just wants to sell me the extended warranty, which I have done but at some point Sears needs to stand behind there product! I am done with this washing machine!!! Never buying a Kenmore again! Next time this thing breaks it's gone!

rust in bleach dispenser
Bought Kenmore Elite washer and dryer from Sears in Lewisville, Tx. Vista Ridge Mall. We also purchased warranty for both.
One year later notice there is a small amount of rust around bleach dispenser under plastic gasket. Showed to repair man who was there for maintenance check up. Got told it would be fine & not spread. Now just yesterday, had a technician out for dryer issue which was resolved quickly. He was here for washer too. My husband spoke to technicians before he arrived about issues for both. Technician said that he sees it all the time not a problem. He also said this same thing when at house. Now Sears won't take care of it. Warranty won't cover rust. This is a defective washer. Should not rust at all. When we Googled Kenmore Elite washer rusting at bleach dispenser, there came hundreds of mad customers with the very same issue. This isn't right!! A washer should not rust anywhere. Properly powder coated & sealed, this should not have happened. Sears or any company should stand behind the product they sell. All we wanted was the part replaced. Some people have fixed it themselves with paint. Some said the washer underneath has begun rusting too. Ridiculous. Called several numbers & got the run around, put on hold & then hung up, etc. Will never set foot in a Sears store again.

Oasis wash machine malfunction
If I had the money I would have literally tossed the Oasis wash machine we purchased around 2007. Apparently, this was the greatest and latest, so we were told by the salesman. We've had nothing but trouble from the start. Since, we were going through many other personal things at the time, the wash machine was the last thing on my mind. However, to date, it still will not run a light or full load of clothes properly without F1 or other error signals repeatedly. It doesn't wash the clothes well, because it does not draw enough water, and regardless of how without an agitator (the only thing agitating is me) it's supposed to. It's not unusual to have to wash the clothes twice and without fail I have to double rinse every time. The clothes wad up in a ball in the machine--every time, which of course, causes the machine to go off balance.
We paid so much for this machine and it's partner, the Oasis dryer, and have to go through all of this every time, that it makes me, well . . .let's leave it there.
I would not recommend that anyone buy this machine, no matter the contemporary appearance or the sales pitch you may get, you will be wasting your money and wearing dirty clothes, not to mention the aggravations mentioned.
If anyone has any solutions???

F1 error
I Purchased a kenmore oasis washer and 15 months later started getting the F1 error code. I have to push stop/start 6-15 times when I wash my clothes. I contacted sears, and one time they told me that YES, it was covered under a recall. However, when the tech arrived at my house he informed me that at that time, the recall did not cover my washer... This is ridiculous. I have read so many boards out there on this exact issue, and its frustrating. I will never buy another kenmore again.
