I am adding my total disgust to the many other complaints about the Kenmore Elite ( Grab-N-Go) model # 795.72373312 . It stopped cooling and stopped freezing in the middle of a re-union with 50 people! I have called the phone number in the book (given to me at purchase) I have spoken to countless customer service people, very nice, and very hard to understand! I did get one person that spoke understandable English. (after 5 or 6 transfers). I have a whole kitchen in my new (4 yr old) home full of Sears products. We purchased the Kenmore Refrigerator believing Sears was a "safe" reputable company. I am now on the second "72" hour time period in which someone is supposed to call me back. We didn't purchase the extra warranty, believing that the manufactures warranty would cover anything major....still have no idea. Every person I spoke to told me " there is no sears repairman in your area"!
I can purchase an appliances at sears, they will deliver it, but there is no one to repair it!!! I finally called a local appliance company, who sent someone out the same morning. I paid $74.99 for the service call, he put a meter on the back of the refrigerator and told me the "whole sealed system" was out . I have never had such an expensive appliance last only 48 years to the day almost. It looks like it lasted longer than some others have purchased. My husband wants to purchase a new refrigerator....throw this one away...we are retired...can hardly afford to do that! No wonder Sears is sinking... I will never purchase another thing there.
