Online layaway purchase was delivered on July 6, 2016. The Kenmore washer and dryer was the second online layaway purchase that I made. We didn't hook them up right away, it was a few days before I removed my old washer & dryer. We noticed right away that we had to close the door hard and kind of lift up to get it to stay closed. The next week I started calling sears to let them know. Each time I called, I'd start talking to one person, they would end up transferring me to someone else. I was told that they could mail me a part that clamps into the dryer & this should probably fix it. If I felt that we couldn't put the part on, I was to call back, and Sears would have someone come out to put the part on. After around 9 days, the part arrives, it doesn't fit the dryer. I've made about 20 calls or more trying to exchange the dryer. The representatives on each phone call keep pretending to help, but they won't send me a confirmation to my email, they won't return my phone calls. Each one keep telling me to wait 48 hours for a confirmation call, when I don't get the call and I call back, the next representative may tell me to wait 72 hours. I will continue to tell people how Sears has treated me. When you do online layaway, and try to go in the store about your purchase, the store can't pull up the information. It's been a month now and I still haven't gotten any confirmation call or email.

I have a payment that was due on the 20th of Sept. It states on the website that there is a 14 day grace period but this information is false. It's state this in the layaway questions (UNDER GET YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED) and also in my layaway contract manager profile. Here is what I copied from both parts;

When I called to confirm this I was told by the representative that it doesn't state that on their end and that it's a 7 day grace period. This information should be corrected so that people won't be mislead. Someone would be thinking that they have 14 days and then without any knowledge they would lose their layaway..simply just by going by what's stated on the site. Thankfully I called to confirm it otherwise I may have lost mine. Not correcting it could make people think that Sears is duping people out of their money by canceling it after 7 days instead of 14.
