Release of funds to repair my home
I filed a claim with my homeowners insurance policy at the beginning of September to repair my home from the damage of Hurricane Harvey. After receiving the check from the insurance company, I sent it to Select Porfolio Servicing/insurance claim check.com. I completed all of the forms required to proceed with the claim. They only released $1,800 for the contractor to repair my leaking roof. They still have $1,094 that they will not release to me to complete the interior repairs. I ordered the inspection required after the contractor completed the roof repairs. I call the insurance claim check 3 times a week for the past 2 weeks since the roof has been 100% completed. They keep telling me that the inspection has been assigned to a person to come do the inspection, but no one calls and no one shows up prolonging me receiving the remaining funds. I will be doing the interior repairs myself, due to the state farm insurance claim lowballing me after the Hurricane. NO ONE IS HELPFUL WHEN CALLING AND SEEMS LIKE THE INSURANCE CLAIM CHECK PEOPLE ARE CLUELESS ON HOW TO OPERATE A BUSINESS. I AM HIRING A LAWYER TO PURSUE TO HANDLE MY CASE.
