After two years of back and forth with Wells Fargo, and not getting any loan modification, my house went into foreclosure proceedings. My husband requested arbitration, which did not materialize for over two years, during which time he passed away suddenly. When I got a notification that arbitration would take place, I contacted both attorneys and received no response. Six months later, Wells Fargo collected the FHA insurance on the house and sold the note to Selene Finance. Fast forward a few months and they contacted me that they would take over the house with a deed in lieu, (which I have, by the way) and I would not have a foreclosure on my credit record. Well, guess what!? I just got a notice from the credit bureau that I have a foreclosure on my record by Guess who?! Selene Finance, and it is as recent as this May 4, 2015. All this paperwork and back and forth was last year!
I want everyone to know what criminals these people are. I have heard them called bottom feeders, but I think that is too good for them. Now I will have to contact the credit bureaus, furnish all the paperwork and try to get this off my credit. I am resigned to the fact that I will never be able to own a home again, but I'll be damned if I am going to let them get by with this one! If anyone else has some experience with this and can advise, I will be grateful.
