I was told I would receive a free membership for 5 days, gave my credit card details and was guaranteed no charges would be made. I was instantly charged R14,00 on my credit card.

I was told I could have 7 days free trail to sign up for Show Me Flix ,but when I looked at my my bank statement, I was charged $36 on my debit card on Oct 1st 2015, I had only watched half of one movie because the quality was lousy. This company fraudulently and without authorization charged its fees to a credit card number that they garnered illegally.
I simply landed on their website one night, and signed up for absolutely nothing- simply searched for a movie-
have cancelled "member ship" which i never signed up for- but the charge for $39 is still standing AND they charged me to cancel the so called 'membership" as well

On checking my Visa statement today I notice that on 16 July 2015 I have been charged $US39.95 ($NZ61.44) by Showmeflix.Com. I did not authorise this transaction.
If I'd been interested in purchasing I would have taken advantage of the free trial offer first.

My credit card was debited as a purchase from Show me flix which I have not authorised or given permission to debit. I immediately went to the bank when I saw the amount going off my card the bank stopped the card immediately to prevent future debits from showmeflix.com. I was looking for a certain movie and when you click on the link it request you to register and requesting credit card details just for checking your details. It also stated that it will not debit your card and no payments will be done on the card. It advertise on their website www. Showmeflix.com that a free account can be created in seconds and 5days free trail. I never downloaded any movie or watched any movie. When you search for the latest movie their website always comes up but they have crap old movies.

I want my refund immediately as I will hand showmeflix over to our crime and fraud investigation team.

I woke to a text from Barclays Bank this morning asking me to confirm some outgoings from one of my accounts. I immediately realised some money had been used without my consent. This is sadly the second time something of this kind has happened to me but the first time it was through PayPal who were wonderful in retrieving my money. This time round though it was a direct payment from my account in which I have no idea how this has happened as my card is always on my person.
Anyway, I spoke with my bank and the fraud team who helped me go through all of my transactions and we could work out what was what. They changed my accounts and put a block in this company from taking my money in the future.
The next bit was the tricky part because I had to contact the company directly to try to get my money back- 1hr, 3 phone calls (the first two must have tired of using their "customer service skills" as they hung up on me) and a lot of frustration later I finally had an agreement to refund this money.
They kept asking for my account details which of course I couldn't provide as I didn't have an account with them. Somebody clearly did though without my permission!
Just as I was about to lose my cool with the lady who kept telling me it was my own fault and was I quote finished just yet (!!!!) I mentioned I would be taking further action and had spoken with the fraud team (Barclays- they didn't let me finish my sentence to find this out though) They then interrupted and issued a refund straight away!!!
Useless, rude and nasty people that work for them and I'm glad to never have to have any contact with them again!

I had registered for a 5-day free trial under the condition that my credit card will NOT be charged for creating an account. However, on creating an account, the credit card was charged $1.00, which I did not too much worry about.

However, 5 days later, I got a shock when I received a message stating that my credit card had been charged for $39.95 which is absolutely out of the blue. This is nothing but duping the public. It amounts to fraud and I would want this charge to be reversed and my account terminated immediately.

I would rather not watch any movies than get cheated like this.

I subscribed to the free service and upon searching for a few movies realized that they don't have the movies I wanted. I had issues cancelling and eventually emailed [email protected].
