In my 25 years of renting cars abroad, I have never felt such a regret as I did after using Sicily by Car. And I say this even after being conned in Miami with a car insurance that was implied as a full fee when it really ment a daily fee.

Our experience with SbC was much worst. I picked up the car unattended in a dark parking lot (Milan) for there was only one person in their far away office (big red flag), the car had many dents & scraches everywherer and we assumed it was declared in the contract, for the copy print was almost illegible.

In their long "little lettered" contract they inform you that: "For every transit violation they'll hand out your information to the corresponding city authoroty and for that, they will charge you exactly the same amount as the transit ticket (61 Euros). In other words, when We recieved 3 letters from them, each with a traffic violation (2 Verona and 1 Florence) and later on, the corresponding charges on my Credit Card, we thought everything was taken care of . . . . but no!

Due to the crooked way the operate, we did not pay the traffic violations in time and a year latter found out that now we had to pay 105 Euros each for them.

May I add that I was also charged with 41 Euros with no information whatsoever from Sicily by Car.
