Rented a card from Milan Bergamo in May 2017. After seeing the same charge on my card 27th Sept as described by lots of people here, I have instructed my credit card company to cancel this change which they have done. They card company will wrote to them asking for the charge to. E justified... if this is fraud I suspect it we won't hear from them. Sounds to me like Sicily by Car have had a massive card data breach. Shame as we had a good experience using them.

I recommend anyone who used a credit card contact your bank/card provider and challenge the payments. Good luck

We hired a car from Milan Malpensa airport and 4 months later I'm being charged twice for additional fees and I haven't been informed what the fee is for. I will be going to my bank and reversing my payments. If anyone has an advice on how to counter act this complaints please contact me.

I have the same situation.
Rented a car for 10 days last July 2017 through Ryanair's website (cross sell).
Last 10 and 16th of October I got 2 charges of 73.20 EUR on my CC statement.
I blocked the card and filled a chargeback request.
It will take up to 120 days but hopefully I'll recover the money they stole from me....

Same here: I rented a car with Sicily by Car in Milan City Center in June using a credit card. I didn't get any parking or speeding tickets, and the car had no damages when dropping it off at Malpensa Airport a week later. About 3 months later, a company 'Auto Europa' attempted to charge 71 Euro for 'multe fines' on this credit card. Fortunately, my bank blocked the transaction, but I had to get a new credit card.

The same scenario. Visit Italy in July, September 25th - 74 euros taken from bank my account. In their policy they are stating that they would contact you if any additional charges will occur after a few mounths. But nobody did. I wrote complain. Bank blocked my card and adviced go to the police. If they wont provide my any legal evidence, i will let police deal with them! Never visit Italy again!!!!

I also rented a car (June 23 and July 1) and 4 months later I charged (with no reason or proof) 106.56 dollars. AUTO EUROPA MULTE-FINES PALERMO was the name that put through the charge. I rented from Sicily By Car. This is insane!!!! They wont answer my calls or emails.

I have been charged 61 EUR 9 days ago from Auto Europa multe-fines and I don't have any explanation about it. The car was rented in June 2017 from Sicily by car in Milano-Malpensa Airport. I sent an e-mail to the company, but they did not give me any answer. How can I be charged if I wasn't even notified about this 61 EUR?

We arrived at Palermo airport at 11am to pick up our car which had been booked long in advance. We were number 40 in the queue at the Sicily by Car counter (we knew that because you had to take a ticket like you do at a deli counter). After one hour the queue had barely moved, about 6/7 people got their cars in this period. At that rate we would have had to wait for over 5 hours - the flight from London had only taken 2.5 hours.
There were queues at other car hire desks but none as long as the Sicily by Car queue, and the other queues moved much quicker.
We gave up and booked another car through Noleggio - it took 10 mins to get a better car at a cheaper price.
I would not dream of using Sicily by Car ever again.

booked a car with sicily by car from the 2nd of august 2017 to the 16th of august 2017 returned the car with full tank of petrol and with no damage and i know i did not break any speed limits as i travel to this area often and i know where the speed cameras ,received a additional payment of 99 euros on my credit card which my credit company is investigating at the moment as they want a breakdown of what this is for as i know i left the car with no damage as i inspected it at pescara airport on their table of charges is says it charges 99 euros for a small amount of damage ie a scratch to the bonnet or missing or damaged mud flaps for example in my case i have not had any response from sicily by car as to what this is for at least for now i dont have to pay as it is at dispute stage at the moment i am not going to pay it stand firm everybody else , as we can see it is a common practice for sicily by car to do this judging by the reviews , I am so annoyed with sicily by car I have cancelled my car hire with them for my trip to italy next febuary hope they dont get anybody else booking it at least my credit card company is supportive as they have said to me this a common practice because they get you to sign the paperwork to say you have left the car uninspected because the woman at the returns desk does not check the car until the next day and you cant make them go to do that physically and you dont have time to phaff about as you have a plane to catch and they know this because the drop off area for rentel returns is far from the airport terminal ,also had maggiore car hire pursuing me for motorway tolls for four years as they said i did not pay another scam as i continued to point i had to pay on exiting the moment as there is toll gates which have staff if you dont pay for your journey from a to b they just wont let you pass as they have to open the barriers and I remembered paying 44 euros in the end they gave trying to get another 78 euros out of me as i can be very stubborn when I know i am right they bank on peoples fear of the fine getting worse but I know from my cousin who is a traffic policeman in Italy that for people living outside Italy they only have up to 10 months to pursue any fines after they are commited anything after that time period is a attempt to get money from you as a genuine traffic violation such as speeding or going into a bus lane will be pursued before the 10 months is up and they know this so remember that for anybody who gets a fine after that period sadly for them they were not to know i have a cousin who is a traffic policeman which is good for me so travellers beware when booking car hire as some of you have already been caught up in this and some will fall foul of this in the future so dont let it spoil your time in the sun and all have good holidays in the future :)petti g

We have just been charged 61 EUR from Auto Europa multe-fines Palermo and we don't know what it is! We rented a car in May 2017 from Sicily by car through www.rentals.com. We paid in advance. The car was a Citroën DS3. Nice car, however, just few kilometers before delivering back the car we noticed that the fuel indicator was suddenly broken, meaning that even if the tank was full the indicator showed that it wasn't . We tried to explain this to Sicily by car, but they cargdd us for additiinal liters fuel. Today, 3 September, I have noticed that 61 EUR have been charged my Credit card by Auto Europa Multe-Fines Palermo! What is this? We have not been notified about this. Where is the evidence? I'm really chocked!

Having an issue with Sicily by Car, we been asked to pay 400 euros deposit when picked a car at Pisa airport. It is over a month when we are back from holiday and still don't have our deposit back. Sent loads of emails to them but all is ignored, no response. Contacted Rental Cars about it but still nothing, they promise to contact Sicily by Car on our behalf, but still no result. I would never use this company again and wouldn't recommend to anybody to deal with them.

I rented a car in Milano in may, and 2 month later charged 61€ without any explanation.

Don't rent anything at this company! I rented a car through a broker (Cartrawel.com) and even I'd paid before they wanted me to pay more at the desk at the airport for a better car. It was 29 Euro. I was surprised but I paid. Then, a few days after the rental finished the company took 29 Euro from my credit card again! So I paid twice for something i realy didn't want.

Why 61 euros?

Two months after my trip, Sicily by Car is trying to steal me.

I am not gonna pay anything and already called my creditcard saying that i do not recognize that amount and charge.

We rented a Car in April 2017 via Sicily by Car / Auto Europa (these two companies seems to be connected), returned the car and everything was fine... until now! Without any explaination, we got charged for 61 € on our credit card.

Seems to happend to many people before. So I fear right now, that this is just the beginning...

I have used as well the Sicily By Car before 2 months and after 2 months i was charged with 61€ with description: AUTO EUROPA MULTE-FINES PALERMO PAIT - 61.00.

We don`t know what it is and we have no document. I returned the car in good condition. No damage and everything well.

If anyone finds a way to deal with kind of charges or at least to learn why it was done, please share with us.

I rent a car from sicilybycar in frolence in February 2017 and they have drown 2 fines (each61Euros). I searched on the net and saw that they nearly do the same to everyone.
