I am a resident of Gayathri Hills Society, Prashanti Hills Colony, Raidurg Navkhalasa Village - 500008.

We are using the bore water in our community, and the water usage is being heavily abused here, There are RO water purification plants installed on the buildings of the society. To purify 2000 ltrs of water daily, it is wasting around 6000 ltrs of water, which is going in drains. This tank gets filled multiple times a day and so the wastage of water is around 24000 ltrs (two machines running almost twice) on a daily basis.

Also there is no provision for the rain water harvesting in the society, the builder has not installed the pits, even after charging the amount as part of the property amenities.

Given the water crisis that Hyderabad is facing and fast depletion of the ground water, I see this as a serious issue which needs to be addressed upfront. I tried speaking to residents but no luck.

Would requests the authority to take quick measures on the same, for the good of entire society and our environment.
