Payment not received

I did a balance transfer to pay these bandits off on that was processed on 01/20/2015 by the card doing the transfer. Given 7 to 10 business days to process because there has to be a check mailed the account should have been paid off by 02/03/2015. Today I get a robo call from SST saying my account is passed due by one day. It has not been late before. They assesded a $25.00 late charge. I called them to find out what was going on after talking to the bank that did the payment transfer and after 10 minutes of trying to guess which option to push (2 or 8 the operator told me) I am told they never got the payment. The entire purpose of paying off the account was to be able to cancel the card and get away from these people. I told her as I wanted the card cancelled which she she did as of today. I also told her I was not paying the late charge and as far as i was concerned the account was paid off. I was again told they had not received it and to call back the tranfering bank. I did and was told that they issued the check on 1/20/2015 and there have been no reported problems like it being returned. I have porblems with SST in the past and this is the last straw. Their interest rates are usary and their cusdtomer service is almost non-existent in trying to even talk to anyone. My advise to anyone thinking about a credit card - stay away from these clowns.

SST Visa

I used my credit card for business purchases to save myself the hassle of writing tons of checks each month. I pay the balance in full every month, sometimes twice a month. Last February (2012), I was in a rush, and chose the wrong checking account (one that we had closed, but that I had not removed from my payment option list). Immediately upon finding out what I'd done, I repaid with the correct account. The payment cleared the bank seven days later. I also called SST and told them what I'd done. There was never an NSF check. Ever since that time, every payment I've made has been held for ten days pending confirmation of receiving the funds. If I want to use the card, I have to get SST on the phone and then conference in the bank who confirms the payment is good. None of that is really a huge issue to me; after all, I made the mistake.

What is an issue is the way I am treated on the phone. The people are rude, talking to me like I've done something wrong or that I'm mismanaging my money or some other nasty thing. Today, I asked for a supervisor and she was worse than the original operator I had. She hung up the phone without resolving the issue. When I called back and a third person managed to get the hold on the account lifted, she told me that - even though for an entire year I've been told it takes a year for them to stop putting the hold on my account every month - it will be yet another year before they stop putting the hold on the account.

There's no one at SST who wants to actually help me, and I'm not even sure how I ended up being their customer. I do know this: I will not have an account with them for another year. Why bother with that extra hassle?
