Starhub being dishonest
Being cheated signing up Mobile line at roadshow and got it in to an ridiculous outstanding amount
NEVER EVER! Never ever sign up any line with starhub when you are at any roadshow or event. BE CAREFUL!
One of my family members got cheated. And have to paid up an 1.5k outstanding amount.
Here's the story,
One of my family members was at one of the roadshow on 2006 and sign up with starhub for two mobile line as because they told my family member that they having promotion. (my family member can't remember what promotion was it as it was quite a long time ago, and I wasnt there on the scene plus was very young at that time so didn't know anything about it )
My family told me that on that time the starhub sales person told my family member that both of the mobile line was about $20 plus to $30 plus. And as time goes by, while my family members receive the bill and realise the charger has been increased to about $100plus per month. So my family member called the starhub and asked why, but they didn't give any accurate answer, so she no choice and ask to terminated both mobile lines. (if I wasn't wrong when my family member ask to terminated, starhub still charge the bill for 2 months)
So recently, I tried to help her double check to see if there's any outstanding balance for her as my family member can't remeber did she fully paid or not. (My first initial was to help my family member paid if she hasn't). So here's the most shocking part, when I called up starhub staff told me that the account has a outstanding amount of 1.5k. To be honest I was **bleep** shock at the moment. So I ask for a breakdown if possible, they said can't retrieve as this account has been more the few years back. But they did have the invoice for total amount. And she show me the amount for each month, and the most interesting part is that is each month total balance are different . And lastly there's a $900 plus penalty fee for terminated account. And I asked why is the penalty fee so high? And the best part is that because both mobile line was charged $65 each.
So here's the main point... $65 for each mobile plan line when your roadshow sales told my family member that the mobile line was only $20plus to $30?? And in the end charge up to 1.5k? So this is how starhub earn money?! You guys like to cheated those people that don't understand the contract to sign up and earn this kind of money from them..

Starhub misleads its clients
So I have to pay extra to get access to Setanta on the top-of-the-line Starhub package - I do this because I do really need to watch the Super Rugby series.
MY pain is Starhub/Setanta then show Super Rugby on their programme. They even insist when you click there that you are looking at Super Rugby, meanwhile you are in fact looking at British club rugby!!!!
I am not paying a lot of money to see British club rugby and surely when I ask my money back I will get 10,000 reasons why not! THIS IS A SHAME

Poor customer service
18 Dec - I emailed to advice cancellation of my AXN channel with immediate effect!
21 Dec - 2nd email to Starhub to advise on the status!
21 Dec - Starhub replied but telling me how to block this channel. Email from Jane Customer Service
21 Dec - wrote to Starhub that I'm not requesting how to block but cancel this AXN channel!
22 Dec - request status update!
26 Dec - Till Date No Reply! and not Cancelled! Please ensure you do not charge me as I wrote since 18 Dec to cancel! Was it so difficult to cancel or reply or actions!

Arrogant and horrible Customer Service
I have a harrowing incident with Starhub phone services for this month of Oct 2014. My hp line was terminated twice for this month although the partial payment 0f $80/-had been made on 12.10.2014 and left $70/- to be paid later on early next month as agreed. On 31.10.2014@ 1730hrs my line was terminated for the second time and the time where I was really expecting an urgent call from someone.
I was really frustrated as I can't even call 1637(free hotline) using my phone and after borrowing my friend's phone it took me 20 minutes to get through (by the time my friend's hp's battery already drained out). Finally at 1730hrs I managed to get 1637 using my husband's hp. After going through the hustles of getting 1637, Starhub CV ASHLEY answered my call.
I explained to her about my line was being terminated for the second time this month after the payment was made. ASHLEY blatantly told me off saying, "make sure you make a payment". Her remarked was really aroused my anger, I then ask her to check about the payment that I had made and only left $70/- due to next month Nov. Knowing that she had made a mistake by not checking through on my payment, she didn't even humbly explain to me . Instead she arrogantly "threaten" me to make the due of $70/- ASAP.
THIS ANNOYANCE BY STARHUB AS A WHOLE IS VERY UNBEARABLE. Especially the Customer Service namely ASHLEY is not fit to be there. She is very "HORRIBLE", wondering why STARHUB hired such a person who will only bring down the company. I just can't wait for my contract due on March 2015 and will definitely switch to other provider....BYE BYE Starhub

Starhub fibre connection in central area is way to unstable(especially during peak hour)
You call them they alway ask you restart computer and your router etc making it seem like is our own com problem
Today i experience in cant visit any us area website (e.g. hotmail,facebook.etc) and guess what starhub told me they cant ask their
tech team to check cause not evidence lolx what a joke this is i guess the whole chinatown area cant visit us hosting website (around 8am today) and they can tell me is my own com problem (if is my com problem why i can use my mobile and visitng us server site and when i switch to wifi i cant)
I subscribe for 200mb internet speed fibre but i dont see the different between 100mb and 200mb the digit is like for show only lor
And lastly when they get back to you (after they say they will call you) you internet should be ok already (like nvr fix like tat)
I call them is to let them know that their internet server got some issue and hope they can look into it but i guess to them is like bo chap like tat
I think i am not the only experiencing this issue

History channel by starhub
Can you please enlighten me as to WHAT.....duck dynasty, counting cars, storage wars, swamp people, kings of restoration, Top shot...has to do with HISTORY!!!!! Please remover these programmes immediately from the History channel was place them somewhere appropriate in a category. The history channel has since become a dumping ground for SILLY programs just mentioned.
Definition of History: History is the study of the human past as it is described in the written documents left by human beings.
So please ...duck dynasty, counting cars, storage wars are NOT history!! So please remove them immediately.

Starhub Fibre Broadbrand
I would like to complaint regarding my starhub Broadbrand plan .
On 31/03/14, my internet connection was not working at 10plus
On 02/04/14 at 934am i called the customer care 1) TIVA answer my call and said that he will check with the technicial team to resolve my internet problem and will call me back within an hour. However, i waited for the whole afternoon but nobody bothers to feedback what extactly is the problem.
On 03/04/14 i called again at 920am 2) XXX to complaint about the previous problem ,XXX said ( same as above will check with techinicial), and again another disappointment.
I called again at 2.35pm 3) NAVEEN assure that he will check and get back to me within an hour, ,but again another another disappointment.
Around 5 plus i called again 4) XXX ,he said will check and put me on hold but the line cut off.
I havin no internet for 3 days.
I called again 5) KENT said will definitely check and will get back to me by evening , I am great that its not just an empty promises .He did call in the evening and the problem had been resolved.
I wonder why the service is so BAD with no response at all, I am very disappointed with starhub and hope that the management will do something about the BAD SERVICE what i encounter .

StarHub - I have been cheated of my prepaid amounts
I came to Singapore for 3 months. I have signed up at the airport with Starhub for these 3 months, not to use my mobile much, but use data (emails, map, the like). They have 1) overcharged me right there (but I got some money back), and 2) had not signed me up for a data plan (why would I need anything but a data plan, who would I call in 3 months locally!?) My money was gone in ONE MONTH. Then I put more money on my prepaid (against my better judgement). My money was gone in FIVE DAYS without using ANY mobile services. I was in school and on wifi all the time, they say I was using gprs (in school???). I wanted to use my mobile on the weekend, when I was discovering Singapore. I have just received the text that my money was gone. I called 1633. No help, I should wait and somebody will contact me in 3 days, and I was standing there in the middle of the city with no map, no help, nothing. I haven't been contacted for 6 days! I have called them. Oh, it is still being investigated, but they will expedite it. Then I receive a text message in less than an hour that they cannot contact me on my mobile number. ??? So I call again, get put on hold for more than 5 minutes (I have measured it!). Then they offered to refund me 50% of my last payment. 50%? If I am wrong, I don't deserve anything. If they are wrong, I deserve 100% and more as compensation. 50%? So I have called and said, no thank you. And I am now changing my mobile provider.
