False advertising regarding number of cigarettes in 20 packet
I wish to complain about the false advertising of Sterling Menthol cigarettes. I am a regular smoker of this brand, and have over a period of time seen the reduction in the amount of cigarettes being sold in the 20 pack, with no real reduction in the cost. We, the consumer, have been led to believe that we are purchasing a packet of 20 cigarettes, this was reduced to 19, and has reduced further to 17. There is no longer any indication on the pack, as to how many the box contains, and therefore consumers are being conned into believing they are paying for something which they are not.
I honestly thought I was smoking more, and was getting worried. I was shocked and upset to find that after several months of paying almost £7.00 for a packet of 20 cigarettes, I now find that all this time I have been misled, and feel I should be compensated for this false advertising.
